Returning every couple of days to do some work on renovating the journal. I notice I tend to fail with hobby projects if I do too much at once at the start - working on things progressively is better, and decreases the chances of burnout.
For now, I've hidden all posts before the previous one (hurray for 2-week trial of a Plus account!). I'm likely to go through them and write a sort of timeline of events, and I may make some of the old ones public again. Maybe it's a little cowardly to hide all the old posts from what was largely a terrible period in my life, but I'm going to go about dealing with their contents in a way that doesn't act like it never happened.
A couple of days ago I got a Tumblr:
http://airyairy.tumblr.comTumblr, of course, is the more popular blog option right now. I imagine this will be more of a tl;dr repository, and the Tumblr will be more for short fandom-y things. This journal, of course, will not be separated from fandom either. I always liked the LiveJournal community structure.
Other things...
Today I linked my Facebook and Twitter accounts to this journal. When I start posting seriously again, I'll have my Facebook and Twitter accounts automatically post a link to some/all of newly written entries.
Changed the layout and title of the journal.
Changed my displayed name (not my username, of course!)
Began to renovate my profile.
I'll go more into standard blog things later, but suffice to say, things have changed for the better in my personal life!
