1. Is it a sign that I've been a Sox fan for too long that I'm already pessimistic about Daisuke Matsuzaka?
2. On the other hand, if he is everything the hype says our starting rotation could be: Schill, Becket, Matsuzaka, Papelbon, Wake. Damn- that has the potential to be one hell of a rotation
3. Egypt has cooled down a lot, which is nice.
4. I really want my laptop to be not-dead
5. I'm getting really fed up with some aspects of Egypt
6. Classes have been good though
7. Except for the "surprise" midterm I had yesterday.
8. I've got another mid-term next week. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that mid-terms in Egypt are well after the middle of the term. After all, nothing else here happens on time
9. Went to a really good concert here a few days ago, an Egyptian band called Wust El-Balad. They reminded me a lot of an Egyptian version of Dispatch. It was a lot of fun.
10. I'm going to miss Kosheri when I get back.
11. I'm not going to miss any of the other food here. There's a reason why there aren't Egyptian restaurants.
12. Just finished reading Man in the Iron mask, and unless my memory is way off it's very different from the movie. I guess that shouldn't surprise me.
13. Bugs have re-invaded our apartment.
14. The International Herald-Tribune has Calvin and Hobbes in it's comics section. It makes me very happy.
15. This took place one or two blocks from where I'm living. I was down at the Red Sea when it happened, but there's been a lot of talk about it since then.
http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/11/15/news/journal.php16. Students here are really apathetic. It's kinda sad.
17. I guess that's true for Drew too. It's sad there too.
18. I'm hungry, but don't feel like eating at any of the Egyptian places around here. Maybe I'll go to the little Lebanese take-out place down the street from here.
19. Or cafe Reiche. I've wanted to go there for a while, even though I have no idea what kinds of food they have.
20. wow. re-reading this, it has to be one of the more random collections of my thoughts.
