I've been accepted into the AMRE program,
which means I will be staying in Wooster through July 8th.
The program pays a decent stipend
and the school will cover the cost of food and housing.
I don't want to stay up in Ohio for the summer
but this opportunity is something I can't pass up.
It will also allow me to make much progress on my research
- work that wouldn't get done if I was at home.
In other news my mother is pushing me to start a retirement fund.
She's offered to match whatever initial deposit I make.
The catch is that I have to do this before I file my taxes (which I was going to do today).
Speaking of money I have a stack of government bonds that are coming to their maturity
and I need to invest the money somewhere.
Suddenly I have all these big decisions in front of me and the time to act on them is now.
I feel old, very old.
