Aaahh it sounds like you had a lot of fun! I never really knew about Miyavi being shy, but it's good to know & I think it's kind of cute. His stage personality is just so big it's hard to think in actuality he's shy.
This was a great review, I hope you continue to have fun & make friends! <3 One day I hope to be able to go to some of his other shows & make friends.
He's shy on stage sometimes. He'll put himself out there, and be a little more goofy, and a little more...vulnerable with the fans over here because I think they've built up a trust with him that he relies on. So when he starts singing Sekai wa Mawaru and is like...barely able to remember TYKO's rap but sings it anyway for us, it's a sign of the deep relationship he has with his fans over here that simply hasn't had time to develop internationally.
I really hope everyone can get to at least one of the Japan shows, or even just make friends with the KoMiyavi over here. They're all really cool kids, and it's been lots of fun seeing him, and meeting everyone ^_^
I've seen him on stage in the US just this past summer, but I think I was too in awe of him to really see him. I'll admit, I was stunned I was even there. XD But I'm sure he feels he can relax more with his fans in Japan more than those overseas, though I hope he'll get more comfortable! I'd love to see him as his Japan fans do.
I think it'd be fun to see him in Japan & make friends with his fanbase there! New people & experiences & adventures are good for the soul. <3
Even though my Japanese is pretty broken, which makes the MCs usually go right over my head, I really enjoy the shows over here. The fans are really forgiving of me not speaking Japanese well.
I really need to work hard so I can get my degree and move here, lol. Having to fly back and forth from Canada for tour is really expensive.
Ah but you're ahead of the crowd in knowing at least some Japanese. I've never taken any classes (though I wish I could) so I only know the odd word here & there which would definitely make the MCs difficult to understand. XD
To live in Japan, that'd be such an adventure. I can imagine it's expensive having to travel so far! I know it's bad enough for me just going across the US. Overseas has got to be a vacuum for the wallet!
