I was born a ramblin' man...

Well, the likelihood of that is small, but that song just popped into my head for no apparent reason.  Go figure!  Anyways, only a few minor updates this week:

  • The algebra final went MUCH better than the stats final...well, in that they all knew better than to complain about it.  I really did like the class, but it taught me a couple of things about using a new textbook.  One being, even though I read through the thing before adoption, I need to read through all of the new books like 2 or 3 times to catch little issues that can confuse the class.
  • I forgot to send my father a birthday card (it was Saturday).
  • My parents are getting a divorce apparently (that was Monday, thus why Dad's birthday wasn't high on the priority list).
  • My brother now has visitation rights to the 3rd child (yes, 3rd child, different mother....don't even ask).
  • Greg's (my ex-bf/current roomie) procedure on Friday went well...he is currently in recovery mode.
  • UPMC Shadyside's cafeteria has food that isn't half bad...at least, the fried fish sandwich on Friday was decent...and the combo with fries and a drink cost me $5!
  • I have made minimal progress on my blanket...I really should get a move on, since I have others I need to do.
  • No, I haven't finished the last Harry Potter book (that is on the agenda for tomorrow).
  • I LOVE the History Channel...today there was a Modern Marvels marathon.....snackfood technology, then beer brewing....perfect afternoon!
  • Target upgraded my Redcard to a Visa card...and just when I was getting my credit on track.  Oops! ;-)
  • We've decided to become a recycling household (Ross Township doesn't have mandatory recycling, so we have to take it to a place ourselves...but that's ok...anyone know a place to get recycling bins?).
  • I have a new appreciation for "Fairly OddParents" on Nickelodeon.
  • Pepcid is still my new best friend.
  • I realized today that my birthday is in exactly 4 weeks...then I can finally say "I'm 29 and holding"...and then the preparation for the big 30th celebration can begin!
OK I think that's enough for now.
