Here's an Idea:

This is my idea of a new beneficial association:

The Student Humanitarian Society (SHS) of America, a student-organized and hopefully nationwide school-based organization, would be created to promote the awareness of global welfare, disease, civil issues, and other matters which infringe on the lives of people worldwide. By definition:

hu·man·i·tar·i·an (noun), a person promoting human welfare and social reform

Thus, the society would stay true to this definition. The organization would set up activities such as fundraisers to raise money to help reduce issues like AIDS, poverty, hunger, disease, and war, in addition to increasing awareness of these issues by publicizing them and teaching them to other students. Members themselves would also participate in events to help their community and to help those who are truly needy in their hometown and around the world. There are student-based goodwill organizations already but most are primarily for helping those in their community. Such an organization like SHS of America would set up a nationwide organization which would be able to accomplish great things through the help of many schools instead of just one.

I think this would be a good idea. In addition, (on an unrelated note), a new country should be established as a U.N.-type thing or like Switzerland; it should be established on an island and should be self-sufficient. It should have access to a large military composed of soldiers contributed from various member countries and from soldiers enlisted specifically for it. It should be self-sufficient for the most part in addition, having its own airport and transportation, so that member diplomats and ambassadors will not have to travel through another (perhaps enemy) nation to get to it. The current U.N. has little power, little money, and little influence, and in addition one must arrive in the US to get to it and must remain in the US in order to stay overnight. By having a separate pseudo-country these problems are eliminated.

Well now that I've put forth my ideas I think I might go relax, maybe work on my music or go rent "Garden State" if I can.
