Dear Hillary,
We don't really know how to put this any other way: we're worried about you. We know you're very excited about going off to college next year, and yes, you are a senior, so your grades this semester don't really matter. And with exciting activities such as sex and the city marathons and stalking fellow MIT '12s, we don't blame you for losing a little focus and turning your attention in other directions. Now, however, you've really crossed the line. See, we're due a week from today, and frankly, you've been ignoring us. We don't appreciate this rude, inconsiderate, irresponsible behavior, so we decided to stage this intervention. We are truly here to help get you back on track, but you need to work with us to make that happen. How can you do this? Simple: by closing out facebook and signing offline. Away messages are not good enough; we need to see some real effort here. Remember how close we used to be? Remember when you couldn't wait to get home to us so we could learn, together? It can be like that again--just come back to us. Sign offline. Please--for your sake as well as ours.
Sincerely,
Your literature and physio psych papers.
P.S. We miss you. Come home.
