A Nice little surprise
I'm innocently sitting in my room trying to decide what music would be good to listen to while i completed my stat hw. As i was browsing my brother walked in and started watching me go through artists on i-tunes. I passed by JET and here's what happened
Christopher: Was that jet?
Me: yeah, I like em
Toph: really? i didnt know you liked them
Me: toph, i've had that cd for like two years
Toph (laughing): you know I'm friends with them right?
Me: I'm sorry, what?
Toph: I hang out with them sometimes
Me: I'm sorry, what?
Toph: Yeah, they're some very smashed australians, I'll tell you
Me: yeah, and not attractive either. But WHAT?
Toph: I met them through Lawrence (his friend)... would you ever want to go to a party if they were having one
Me: Um, YES, but wouldnt i stick out as a little young?
Toph: nah, i mean they're around my age... well actually alittle older, like 24 (pauses)... wait a second. I'm 23. THEY ARE MY AGE
Me: You did not just forget how old you are
Toph: Shut the fuck up. and no, it would be a house party and there are always people you're age at these things
Me: could i bring a friend?
Toph: probably. If one is going on i'll tell you and we'll go
Me: okay
Now, that was definitely not what i was expecting when he walked in to my room.
