Meanwhile at Cafe One...
Because of the stormy conditions we'll be getting late this afternoon, I decided to do Cafe One today instead of the Soy Luck Club.
Me at the counter: "I'll take a sausage egg cheese sandwich, but without the bread. And a coffee and a Vitamin Water." (Shuffling through my pockets...) "Oh, can I start a tab?"
Barrista Girl: "Well... well you can just pay at the end."
Hmmm, isn't that what a tab is?? :-)

Hey, NYFD fire engine 69 just passed outside! I am not making this up.
