Roger Ebert: It’s NOT because it’s on TV, dummy
Well ok, it's not like widescreen TV is inherently bad, but Ebert makes points I hadn't been thinking about. And it totally describes why some of the US Open matches I saw this year (at a gay sports bar, I don't have cable) looked funny.
Most importantly, Ebert is totally correct about Serena -- she's not fat, she just looked that way on all those HDTV's.
[ BTW, I didn't even know Roger Ebert was still writing columns. I'm glad he's still kickin' around. ]
