The dentist is always an awkward place to go to. Not that I don't enjoy having my mouth gutted and left in shreds... Actually, it's only because of this: While the dental hygenist has her hooks and hand rammed down your throat, she always manages to start a conversation, leaving open ended questions and waits for you to answer. Only thing is, that you can't move your mouth without severing her hand from her body and being hooked like a fish in the meanwhile. So then begins the long ordeal of her extracting her fingers and hooks from your mouth so that you can swallow the spit that's been accumulating in your mouth, and give her a 1-2 sentence answer, hand and hooks go back in and the whole ordeal begins once more.
Despite that, I DO like my DH, she's a very sweet lady and always remembers the smallest details about me and my family. While we were waiting for the dentist to come and visit, she left to go reapply makeup and check her messages on her cell. I always seem to like it more when I see the more human side of people in the work place. Not that I don't respect professionalism (in fact, I can't stand it when people lack it), but it just adds such a nicer and more personable touch and always reminds me that we're all in the same well-oiled economic machine together.
And this is precicely why I love the midwest.
Finished both Wicked and the new Harry Potter book in 5 days. Hated Wicked (I thought it was way boring - like the musical better), and HP was decent... a little slow, but very well written and stayed interesting. My next attack is going to be "Purpose Driven Life" Should I do the chapter-a-day and finish in 40 days or just read it straight through? Hm...
