So today was the wedding rehearsal. It was actually very nice and relaxed. It was great to see Amy again, she looked so happy, just as a glowing bride-to-be should be. Played the processional and sat and watched the rest of the rehearsal. OH MY GOD.... can we say, that I have gotten SO much worse on the violin since high school? It's funny because EVERYONE in high school saw me as a violinist, and in college, the exact opposite happened... they saw me as a pianist.... Actually, all my music friends saw me as a pianist (most of them didn't even know I played the violin for like 3 years... I guess that's what happens when you take a year off from it because of an injury..) everyone else at school saw me as the girl who worked in student activities and was everywhere and didn't believe that I was a musician because I wasn't "weird enough" whatever that means....
Anyways....
After the rehearsal, we went for the rehearsal dinner. Everyone was way cool and I got to meet some of Amy's bridesmaids. My friend Jeanette from Germany came all the way out here for Amy's wedding, so I hung out with her all night and caught up (I hadn't seen her for 2 years when she came and visited me after I had my surgery), and also hung out with Lauren, one of my friends from high school who I haven't heard from or about since I graduated. Aside from the 3 of us and my brother, I knew no one. But we had tons of fun, and I can't wait til tomorrow night when the festivities shall continue. Let me indulge all of you with two marvelous words:
OPEN BAR
Oh, and yay for having a younger brother who is under 21 so he can drive my drunk ass back home if I decide to throw back a couple!
It was POURING here all throughout the rehearsal and the dinner. It was as if God had decided to wash His car and left the hose running. It was awful. My shoes were still wet when I got home from dinner at 10:30. Miserable. I have to admit, though, I do love me a good midwest storm.
Called up Krevo - who thought I said on the phone that Katy is playing a "retard in a horror movie" when I really said that Katy is playing a "lead in a horror movie" and would not stop laughing for seriously lik 5 minutes. We're going to go out sometime... Emily is going to call me tomorrow and go out to lunch hopefully before she leaves for school. I love that kid.
And because I love you all:
a present for your viewing pleasure (its safe to open or save, I promise!)
