I woke up this morning and put my feet on our tile flooring... and immediately pulled them back up again. It's really, really cold here today. I put on my gray wool sweater and black pants and the purple wool pashmina that Erin bought me and now I'm at school. (It's considered fashionable to go around without a coat here if you possibly can).
The pashmina's really pretty: a very pale lavender. It's "half of my Christmas present" as Erin says, and she gave it to me so that I could find a nice pin to go with it... I really love it. She's gone pashmina crazy... :)
I'm almost done with all my Christmas shopping. The only people I have left are Becca, Chris, LN, Katie, and the Twins. I'm going to go to Piazza di Spagna today, probably, and pick up one more thing for Mom, maybe something else for Dad, and get Becca and Chris's presents.
I can't believe that it's almost December. I'm going to miss Rome a lot... and the wierd thing will be going back to Lynchburg. No offense to my Hornets, but Lynchburg (as a town) can be boring as all get out. It'll be more than a bit odd to be able to get in my car and go wherever I want without having to take a bus and walk a few miles, weird going back to dollars, weird being able to buy books and eat dinner without hiking halfway across the city.
I haven't started on my thesis yet. I don't know when I would have time. Between the play and my regular schoolwork I barely have time to breathe.
The play's going ok. After all that rehearsal it looks a lot better. I'm still nervous about it, but I'm not freaking out nearly as much.
Well, I have to get going... I've got e-mails to write and a very short time in which to write them...
