The good old days
I've had a subscription to Maxim magazine for several years, and I couldn't help but notice that I haven't been finding the magazine as clever or funny as I used to. All the jokes seem recycled, and the humor obvious. Up until yesterday, I assumed it was because I had matured beyond the sophomoric kind of humor.
But then I found an issue from October of 2001, wherein the following question was part of the back page quiz:
"What was the name of Crockett's pet alligator on Miami Vice?
a. Blow
b. Jaws
c. Elvis
d. Dickface Smothermunch Fuckfella III"
And that's when I knew, deep in my heart, that Maxim really isn't as awesome as it used to be.
