Um...Mardi Gras. You know, it's when people have a lot of fun celebrating, since it's the last time they'll get to until Easter.

Obviously not the commercialized Easter we're familiar with. It has more to do with the Christian religion.

It's the day that Jesus rose from the dead after being killed. Or...the day that represents that. I'm not sure if it's really the right time or not. So...I'm not absolutely sure on this, but Lent, which starts today, is almost like a time period of...reflection, leading up to the days that mark remembrance of Christ's death. So Christians are supposed to give up something--a vice, I think?--so they won't be distracted.

Although I'm not sure I have that right. You might want to ask Rosette or Father Remington.
