[Chrono trying to fight with the shadow for the computer caused it to crash to the ground and hit the "audio" feature--there's sounds of a struggle now, and Chrono arguing with someone who sounds silent.]

[And she's turning the knob to their apartment, having RAN nearly the entire way.]

[Chrono's in his room, on the ground as the shadow grasps and pulls on the tough chain of his watch, cutting into his throat. Chrono's clinging to the mechanism keeping it closed desperately--he doesn't want to fight, and he doesn't want to waste his energy on his other form, either.]

[Rosette runs to his room, before promptly attempting to tackle the shadow over.] GET OFF OF HIM!

[Rosette manages to knock the shadow back long enough for Chrono to pull the watch out of its hands and scurry away, coughing and trying to gather his wits back. The shadow seems to turn and look at Rosette, then slowly advances towards her.]

DON'T TOUCH HER!

[Chrono stumbles to his feet, breathing heavily, as the shadow turns to him and points a claw towards him.]

I didn't--! No!

[AP]

[She scrambles back to her feet, panting a little and quite confused. She didn't hear the shadow, but obviously he was accusing Chrno of something.]

No, I didn't have a choice--I had to protect her--I didn't want to!

[The shadow walks towards Chrono as he shakes his head, clutching the watch so tightly his knuckles are white.]

I'm not! I'm not! I love her! I didn't want to! Stop it! STOP!

[She scrambles for the door, snagging the light switch and knocking the lights out. She whipped about almost immediately, before wrapping her cool arms about the demon soothingly.]
