Rodent update
I bumped into the lady from upstairs, and she said they'd had the mouse poisoners in, so that confirms the "pre-poisoned" hypothesis.
Also, someone somewhere was having sex loudly enough that it was really very clearly audible in my kitchen. I suspect it was coming from downstairs but I couldn't quite bring myself to put my ear to the floor to confirm.
That's got nothing to do with anything really.
