So I finished moving on Saturday. After, of course, stopping by Flying Colors Comics to get my copy of Fraggle Rock #2 signed by Leigh Dragoon and Adrianne Ambrose. ^.^ The stories and the art from the comics are wonderful, and brings back some good childhood memories. (And gets the show's theme song going in my head.)
Stopped by Fanime on Sunday (and a little bit on Monday) to visit with some mighty fine people. It was great to see you guys! Sorry I couldn't make it to the masquerade, but I did watch the videos, and they were fabulous! Congrats to those who won awards. It's not likely that I'll be going to any other conventions this year, so I'll see you all at next year's ALA.
Many thanks to
hazelchaz for the jars of peanut butter. They will be put to good use in my baking experiments!
Speaking of baking experiments, I'll try posting more about them as they get going. I have plans to modify recipes I currently have and maybe even create a few of my own. We'll have to see how it goes. It's a bit more difficult to do that sort of thing with baked goods than it is with savory dishes.
Upcoming events for me include... Can't Stop The Serenity on the 5th in San Francisco, and graduation on the 12th! Yay! I officially graduated in March, but the school only holds the ceremony twice a year. I'm excited to see my chef instructors and other classmates again.
