Day of Silence was the most idiotic attempt at a "bold statment" ive ever seen
a) theyre trying to silence the anit-homosexual bias, so all the gay kids stop talking. THAT MAKES SENSE
b) homosexuals are, now more than ever, accepted in everyday society. objectifying yourselves is simply baiting the steadfast anti-homosexuals to come out in force, thereby accomplishing nothing but re-igniting tired homosexual rights issues, and all subsequent attempts to smother them.
c) most of the kids started talking as soon as the last bell rang. this is because anti-homosexuality only exists within the walls of school, right?
d) by taking a vow of silence in a student body so incapable of affording respect as ours, youre just creating for us the test to try and make you talk. thanks for quenching our rampant ADD. what was your cause again?
now...not that i dont whole-heartedly support gay-rights, but it just seems like nobody thought this one through...
