Thank you!!! I started from N5, step by step :) Anyway, if you have the level, don't start from the beginning. Taking these examens encourage me to study more :)
I'm planning to take it this year. Not sure to start from which level. May I know long did you prepare before you sit for the exam? It's good to know someone I can ask experience first hand about it :)
Which book are you using? Minna no nihongo with 100 kanjis is N5, and then the 2nd minna no nihongo with 300 kanjis is for N4 :) Don't hesitate to ask me :D
I'm not using any particular books at the moment. Currently I'm learning 120 kanjis using materials I found online. I revise grammar, vocabulary etc except kanji using my university materials for beginner level. The thing I'm worrying the most is my kanji. Do you have any techniques for quick memorization? How long it took you to remember all 300 kanjis? The book Minna no Nihongo is really useful for JLPT takers? How much it cost?
Hey dear! Sorry for the delay. I learned the first 120 kanjis so quickly, because I learned them when I was doing exercicies. I am better to remember if I write and do exercices of grammer, writing the sentences with kanjis, and also reading texts. It's a bit boring to just copy kanjis... I was fine with the first 300 kanjis, because I always found them a bit familiary... but now... they are so weird... so difficult to remember! I try to make stories to can remember... I found that Minna no nihongo has good exercicies. It helps me to remember vocabulary. You can find it online as pdf, but I can send it to you ;) In my country, it was impossible to buy it...
I'm really sorry to trouble you with lots of questions m(_ _)m
Is that so? Maybe you still have to stick to Japanese materials (TV/comics etc) to remember or else it'll be forgotten. It's much tougher in term of communication because there's no one to speak Japanese with. Or, do you have someone? I guess writing down the word and doing exercise is a great way to memorise. I try to search for Minna no Nihongo as you suggested (online by the way!) before but there are many version of it. So I don't know which particular book you are referring to. Since you have softcopy, did you print them out? It would be really helpful if you could send a copy to me, please m(_ _)m
The good of minna no nihongo is that there is the textbook, then the listening version, others with exercices... You should start with Minna No Nihongo Shokyuu I Honsatsu and then the one with English translation that explains the grammar and the vocab of each lesson :)
I have a question. Did you sit straight for N4 or did you start from N5?
