Week #14 - EXTENSION // Mod Annoucement - tcg_exchange
Firstly, I hate to say this, but Week #14 has been extended again. This will be the FINAL EXTENSION - if we do not get any more icons, I'll be cancelling the week. Currently, we're still at two icons - not even enough to run a week with one placement, so please submit to Week #14!!
It's now been extended to FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH @ 9:00 AM EST.
If that isn't enough begging, we're now officially affiliated with tcg_exchange - a community that has proven to boost participation in all my other icontests/LIMS. I-I mean, you all know what TCGs are, right? Besides, who can resist the charm of shiny pixel cards :D?
What is TCG Exchange?
Well, I might as well answer the most obvious question - what is TCG Exchange? Simply put, it's an animanga/game online trading card game (TCG), not unlike anime_lj_tcg. It's currently moderated by neonclover, me (redone), ririkit, technological and temperamental.
The TCG itself is pretty simple. There's cards, you collect them. If you collect all cards in a deck, you master the deck and earn shinies. You can trade cards with other people. There is a FAQ here, if you're completely new to TCGs.
Now, what's different about TCG exchange is how you earn cards. Instead of playing games like other TCGs, you earn cards by participating in the affiliated communities (tenipuricon being one of them). The premise is explained here.
Additionally, I withheld affiliating tenipuricon for a long while for a reason. We now have six shiny Prince of Tennis decks. Come on, you know you want to collect these shiny decks ♥! More are coming, trust me!
Sounds interesting. So how do I get my hands on dem shiny pixels?
By participating in tenipuricon, you can land your hands (or mouses) on some very shiny pixels :D! Here is a list of what participation entails what prizes:
Submitting: 1 random card for 1 icon, 2 random cards for 2 icons, 1 Rank C certificate + 1 random card for 3 icons.
Voting: 1 random card
Winners: 2 random cards for first place, 1 random card for everyone else, no mod's choice prizes.
