I did not think I needed a idol group!AU called the Run-Around with Kirihara, Jirou, Jackal, Chitose and Shiraishi in it, but now I do, I think I never want to let it go. I am CRYING at the fact that Jackal is both in charge and the only one that can sing, poor bloke, take care of yourself, omg. And Jirou's constant napping...actually makes sense on an idol's schedule, wow. Everything about the entertainment agency is both depressing and hilarious at the same time. Hanamura is absolutely terrifying (and funny) and is probably finally in her natural habitat of manipulating children who cannot escape their contracts :') And Osamu is...more precious than I thought he'd be. He also looks like every CEO of an entertainment industry I've seen, so that works too, hahaha. AND CHITOSE AND HIS STD CHECKS EVERY MONTH JFC CHITOSE YOU BETTER CHARGE HIM THE DOSH, SEIICHI.

And past all those tiny details, onto the actual story. Everything about this was so precious. I loved Shiraishi and Yukimura and how they had the same thought about his white-pants at the beginning, because that immediately highlighted how much they were in tune. I love Shiraishi's step-by-step plan of how he's going to woo Yukimura and how everyone else wanted the pain to stop and Yukimura's continued annoyance by his presence disrupting everything. I loved how persistent Shiraishi was despite everything, because that's exactly what he's like and Yukimura giving in eventually because breakfasts! and money for hospitals! and scheming grandmothers! and urgh <3 <3 <3 <3

I was DYING at the Sanada Sasuke part, absolutely dead and gone. Also, all of the nurses were pure gold, and I feel like I would love to meet some of them in real life, especially Mari and her painful 'remedies' for sunburn, after getting rebuffed, omg. I was also enamoured greatly by the fact that this was such an amazing slow burn fic, you could really see their emotions develop and how Shiraishi was slowly losing and gaining bits of hope intermittently, and Yukimura was grudgingly accepting the fact that he was stuck with Shiraishi for a long time.

ALSO I have to say I loved all the reference to their spare time, with Yukimura in decaying sweats, and eating ice-cream with chopsticks (???? you heathen, mura) critiquing tennis players on the big screen together. It was just a wonderful domestic image and it was a+ Great. Maximum efficiency with everything in the house vs. Yukimura's lazy way and how Yukimura keeps winning? Brilliant. Also the futon and sharing a bed struggles were hilarious, and Yukimura, your hinting has to be better than that, Shiraishi is a dumb idiot that you love <3 Their banter was priceless, their interactions with all of the media and each other was great, and the dramas were PAINFULLY CHEESY. I get bad enough second embarrassment watching these sorts of things, and reading it was even worse, but in a good way, because you could feel how they thought it was cringe-worthy but did it anyway.

God. I think I loved every single bit of this fic. I can't even begin to guess who the author is, but damn. This was a great thing to wake up to on a Saturday morning.

Thanks so much for all your kind words. Because the fic is in three parts (though really not that long) and I haven't written a PoT fic in forever, I was afraid no one would read it or like it. I can't tell you how relieved I was to see your comment and how ridonkulously happy it made me feel to read such kind enthusiasm.
