Dated: Several days back
Summary: AU Ohtori attempts to kidnap Yuushi. It doesn't go so well.
The sun was bright. The winds were blowing cross breezes into his hair. But Oshitari Yuushi's thoughts were a jumble, and unnoticing of what was around him.
Saeki Koujirou, Akira former friend and lover, had suddenly reappeared. Right in the middle of his foyer. Though he claimed to be from another universe, dimension, what have you, the resulting confusion and disturbance had left Yuushi feeling the crushing need to be alone.
So, he'd taken a walk, against his better judgement, without Akira or one of his twin bodyguards. He assumed, with the fresh air and distance from the insanity, he could put everything in order in his head at least.
The damn cops were after him again. It was just a simple program file to trace mutants, some underground group had started to create it. Scowling and holding the small zipdisk close to his chest, the tall electrical mutant dodged another bullet, finding a nice fence to jump over. He had no idea what might be on the other side, but it was likely to have less ammunition to spend on him and would allow him to escape and return with his prize to Blackguard.
He landed hard on the cement on the other side, rising from the crouching position and continuing his run. He'd just have to keep a few steps ahead of the police until he could reach the Brotherhood again. Rounding a corner, he slammed hard into a solid body and fell back, glaring darkly at the man.
"What in the fucking hell?!"
Yuushi heard the angry voice as he shook his head, looking up from where he'd been knocked back onto his butt on the pavement. "That would be a person you've just run into", he quipped, not exactly in the mood for a confrontation with someone in a hurry and ill-tempered to boot.
He dared to look up and see who he had crashed into before breaking into an ironic smile. He recognized that face, who wouldn't? "Well, Oshitari Yuushi. Out and about by yourself?" He didn't see anyone around, how fortunate for him. "Isn't that a bit dangerous?"
Yuushi internally winced. He ought to be used to people recognizing him--his father was one of the leaders striving for mutant rights in the government--but this person didn't look exactly...friendly. "I suppose so", he drawled as he stood, a hand creeping to his pocket where he'd stashed one of Akira's switchblades.
He wasn't entirely stupid, after all.
"I wouldn't do that." He raised a brow as the dakr haired man reached toward a pocket. Ohtori knew that motion all too well, and of course someone of that fame wouldn't be out without some sort of defense. "I could kill you before you even pulled that out of your pocket." That was a fact, he crossed his arms and smirked with self-satisfaction. He could very well take Oshitari with him, that might be worth even more than the data he stole.
Yuushi's hand paused, his eyes narrowing uncertainly. It could be a bluff...the young man in front of him looked unarmed, but that meant nothing. He left his hand right where it was, ready to yank out the small blade anyways if he felt threatened enough. "You don't give me much choice in the matter. If you're trying to threaten me, I will have to protect myself."
"Don't think it's anything personal. Frankly, I'm sure a lot of us are thankful for your father's work." He sparked the air around him dangerously and shrugged. "Don't think I'm a bad person," entirely, "But I think you'll be coming with me."
Yuushi almost sighed at that. Another mutant, for some reason or another hell bent on taking him or using him for some purpose. Really, he should be more than used to that. But he instinctively backed up with a mocking little smile. "And I'm supposed to be a good boy and come along? I think not", he replied.
"Honestly, I'm having a bad day." Running from guard that were given the order to use any method to return that zipdisk was not something he really looked forward to. "So I would rather you cooperate, but if you'd rather make this hard on yourself, I have no objections." He just had to be careful not to kill him, a person was always worth more alive than dead.
Yuushi regarded him for a long moment, quickly flipping through his options. But the bottom line was that his own power was unreliable, his knife was probably not enough against the other, and he had no clue just how powerful this mutant was. He was, as Akira liked to put it, screwed.
Unless...
"...Then I suppose I had better cooperate", he said slowly, taking his hand away from his pocket and relaxing his body. "I'd rather not be bruised, if it's all the same to you."
Today was his lucky day after all. Even though he did have to ignore the vibrating of his phone in his pocket telling him that Blackguard was likely wondering what was taking his normally timely companion so long.
"It's all for the better- and we won't hold you long." Most likely. Ohtori smiled with an almost gentle nature before stuffing the small disk into his pocket with his cellphone. Since there would be no fight, he didn't have to risk compromising the data with several shocks. "This way then." He nodded in the direction he had been running moments before.
Yuushi followed, drifting close to his kidnapper. Too close. Their shoulders brushed. "As I'm being so compliant, perhaps you can tell me what you'll be needing me for", he asked amicably enough.
The taller of the duo made a sideways step, he wasn't much of a fan of close contact, it only lead to trouble. "If you don't mind... I'd like a bit of space. No one likes being shocked." He nodded a bit and shrugged. "This is on a whim. If nothing else, you might serve as leverage to make a few small changed to the current legislature involving mutants."
Yuushi's eyes narrowed, but it was a minute reaction. "Such as?" His curiosity was merely a backdrop--he wasn't about to go anywhere without a fight. But judging from the sparks the other had made he needed to be smart, and think of a way out that wouldn't get him incapacitated or too hurt to get away.
They did pass by a large rubber trash can, someone's garbage out and waiting for someone to take it away. Yuushi's fingers itched, but he remained calm.
"Hey- I'm not the guy in charge on this stuff. I just do my job." Really, he waited around for orders most of the time, preferring to otherwise just practice his powers or read comics. "You can ask him when we get there." He ignored the phone, though the vibrating against his leg was getting a bit irritating.
"...I think I'd rather not." The silver-haired mutant frowned down at something inside his jacket, and Yuushi took that very small diversion and ran with it. Taking a quick step back, he grabbed the lid from the garbage can and whirled, striking the taller young man in the back of the head. In a move Akira had taught him, he whirled again, his ankle striking the other's legs and knocking him off balance enough to nearly fall. A jolt of power must have hit him then; his hair was standing on end for a moment. But he held the rubber lid in front of him, as a shield.
At least he'd guessed a bit accurately. This mutant had an electrical power. Lucky for him that rubber didn't help conduct it. Still, he didn't have time to gloat. Still clutching the lid close to him, he dashed away as fast as he could.
He would have been scolded again for being too trusting of enemies and victims alike. Fortunately there were no other witnesses. He'd been knocked to his hands and knees by the blow to the back of his head, but looked up in time to see Oshitari Yuushi run away. Dropping his head, Ohtori rubbed the throbbing back of his head with a hand and pulled it away, noting a bit of blood.
"Great work, Bolt..." At least no one had to know about this, and the information was safely stored in a rubber coated pocket in his jacket. Shaking his head, he stood up and dusted off his knees before finally reaching into his pocket to answer his phone.
"Yeah- I got it. I'll be back in 10. See you then."
