~The Questions~
In your own words, describe what a rival is to you: A rival is someone who inspires me to do better. They can even be my friend...if I respect and admire a person, I’ll be inspired to try harder. Basically, a rival (to me anyways) is someone that becomes almost like a wall that I have to climb over in order to get to the next level.
Personality-wise, what do and don't you like in a person? Well, I like friendly and fun people for the most part. I don’t do well with people who are unkind or who are overly pessimistic. I absolutely *hate* it when a person thinks they’re better than others too.
What kind of person can you see as a good rival? Like I mentioned before, someone who is friendly and kind. I want to be able to like my rivals, which sounds odd...but, I’d rather be friendly rivals with someone than an outright enemy to them!
What things are you physically and mentally good at? Physically, I’m good at pushing my limits. Mentally, I’m good with coming up with quick comebacks and jokes. I sometimes surprise people by remembering really odd things.
What things are you physically and mentally not good at? Lolz, I’m not exactly super strong. I also stink at math! O_O
Using tennis as a example:
a) How would you react if you had to work with someone you considered a rival in a doubles game between (say) the Golden Pair? Well, we’d probably mock fight with each other, but I imagine we’d suck it up and work well together when it all came down to it.
b) How would you react/feel if you lost to your rival in a singles game? Disappointed, definitely. But, that would motivate me to work even harder for the NEXT time we play each other.

~The Basics~
Name: Audra
Nickname(s): Yin
Likes: Anime, manga, fantasy novels, video games (especially RPGs), daydreaming, cute things, and kind people.
Dislikes: Character/couple bashing (even if I disagree with someone’s point of view, I like remaining open minded and respectful of their opinions), unnecessary fights, and people who are intentionally cruel to others.
Pet Peeves: The word "constructive" grates on my nerves for some reason, and I’m also oddly territorial when it comes to cooking...I dislike having people hovering around me in the kitchen when I’m trying to do something. *sweatdrops*
Zodiac Sign: My western sign is Libra, and I’m a Boar in the Chinese Zodiac. :)

~The Questions~
In your own words, describe what a rival is to you: A rival is someone who pushes you to improve yourself. They inspire you to want to become a better person in some way. You might be competing with them in that sense, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the relationship has to be antagonistic.
Personality-wise, what do and don't you like in a person? I like seeing kindness in others, as well as confidence and strength. I’m not very outspoken myself, so I tend to gravitate towards those who are. If you’re nice to me and are usually just nice in general though, chances are I’ll like you. :) The only personality traits I really dislike seeing in others are insensitivity to the needs of others, as well as constant meanness or spitefulness for no apparent reason.
What kind of person can you see as a good rival? Someone I could respect, and who would drive me to try and better myself always. They’d sort of be like this "guidepost" of things that I wish I could be, so I’d always try to either get to their level or even surpass it at some point.
What things are you physically and mentally good at? I’m pretty good at observing things when I want to be, and I’ll often pick up on small cues before others do. When I put my mind to it, I suppose I’m rather creative and can come up with interesting theories or stories about things too.
What things are you physically and mentally not good at? Concentrating. I’ll often have my head up in the clouds. I’m terrible when it comes to math as well, and I’m rather weak physically.
Using tennis as a example:
a) How would you react if you had to work with someone you considered a rival in a doubles game between (say) the Golden Pair? I would be rather excited about the idea, because I could see the way they played from an entirely different point of view. But...I’d probably be pretty nervous as well, since I’d be playing with my "guidepost" as it were so I’d worry about what they thought of my style and technique. I’d want the game to be a fun one though, and would probably mentally treat it as a kind of learning experience of sorts.
b) How would you react/feel if you lost to your rival in a singles game? I’d feel disappointed in myself, but that wouldn’t stop me from congratulating them sincerely. I would practice harder and then try to beat them in our next match. :)
