Comments: The next part isn't finished yet, but it involves snogging and beds....and not much else.

Rai walked down the hallway to Kame's office, not sure whether his boyfriend would be there. He'd already tried Kame's room, the cafeteria, the kitchen, and a few other places he could normally find the other man at (except his office), so this was pretty much the last place he had to look in. Knocking on the door, he waited for a moment before trying the handle, not having heard a response. Finding the door to be unlocked, he stepped in, scanning the room (with all it's blinding happiness) for any sign of Kame.

Kamechirou sighed audibly and leaned his head against the side of the desk. He somehow managed to huddle himself under it, however uncomfortable the position might be. Company did not feel desirable to him right now, but he was in his office so he should try his best to make himself available to whomever ventured in.

"Can I help you?" he asked with as much cheer as he could muster. He was still under his desk...but...it was the thought that counts?

Taking a moment to stare at Kame-under-the-desk, Rai crouched down to look at the other man. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern coloring his tone. There wasn't really that much room under the desk, and he doubted it was comfortable for Kame to be squished under it like that.

"I'm peachy," Kamechirou said blandly; his leg was cramping. Looking away, he thought about the best way to try and get out from under his desk. He didn't want Rai to worry too much, after all, the other man had work to do.

Rai frowned, sitting in front of Kame to look him in the eye (or near the eye, he was shorter than the other man after all). "You're not," he said, reaching forward to touch the man in front of him gently on the cheek, "Are you stuck?"

"...A little bit stuck," he admitted. Kamechirou would be able to get out, but he'd have to break the desk in the process. He had no desire to destroy tenicamp property. Leaning into Rai's hand, his eyes drifted towards his, "I might be. But don't worry about it."

"Of course I'm going to worry about it," Rai said, slightly cross. "Do you want help getting out?" he asked after a moment's pause, stroking Kame's cheek gently with his hand.

"I don't think you'd be able to pull me out," Kamechirou chuckled a bit. "I'm just a bit heavy," there were very few people who would pick him up. "You don't have to worry about me, I'm pretty good at handling myself," he stuck out his tongue a bit, "Unlike psychologists who cannot take care of themselves."

"Psychologists can take care of themselves fine," Rai said, wrinkling his nose slightly at Kame. "Are you going to be coming out any time soon?" he asked, running his hand through the other man's hair.

"Some of them maybe," he shot Rai a look that clearly said and you are not one of them. "Not unless the entire desk comes with me," he chuckled a bit, shutting his eyes as Rai pet him. Kamechirou liked having his hair touched.

"I'll stay here then," Rai announced, ignoring the look in favor of petting Kame gently. "Your hair is soft," he commented softly, crossing his legs to sit in a tailor's seat.

"You don't have to. I'm sure you have better things to do," Kamechirou smiled softly. "Mane and tail is the secret," he revealed. Horse shampoo, whodathunk it.

"Not really," Rai said, shrugging. He had stuff to do of course, but he felt rather guilty for not making his feelings clear to Kame and for avoiding him so he could do work (which was the reason he spent half the morning looking for him). Adjusting himself so he was half-leaning on Kame as he stroked the other man's hair, Rai sighed softly. To be honest, he sort of needed a break from it anyway, and what better way to spend his self-assigned half-vacation than with his boyfriend.

"NNmmm," Kamechirou let his head flop against Rai as his hand sat about the other man's waist. "Maybe I should just break the desk."

"Are you really that stuck?" Rai asked, relaxing into Kame's touch. His boyfriend probably could break the desk if he wanted, but maybe there was some other way to get him out? One that was a bit nicer to the poor old desk which just happened to have the misfortune of being in Sanada Kamechirou's office.
"I'm pretty stuck," Kamechirou said flatly, trying in vain to move without breaking the desk. All that happened was the old furniture lifted off the ground a bit. "Unless you have any better ideas?"

"Hmm," Rai thought for a moment then shook his head. Kame was well and truly stuck. Leaning back a bit to examine the opening (as well as he could with Kame in it) he crossed his arms and almost pouted. But he wasn't pouting. Men don't pout.

Kamechirou raised his eyebrow. "Stop pouting, you're a man," he shifted thoughtfully. "Move aside," and with that he stretched out his arms, bending the sides of the desk and renting a crack in the joint. Shaking off the desk, he stood up and spread his arms wide, cracking his back.

Rai glared. He wasn't pouting. Watching Kame getting himself out from under the desk (from a safe distance away), he raised an eyebrow. "That was quick," he said, standing up as well, "Now do you fell better?"

"Not particularly," Kamechirou stated monotonously. "Now I have to fix the desk later," he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

Frowning slightly, Rai took a few steps towards Kame, finding himself looking up at the other man. "Do you know what's wrong?" he asked, bracing himself on the other man's chest so he could lean up to be more or less face to face.

Kamechirou looked down at him blandly; he wondered if he could trust Rai. He knew the man would not hurt him purposefully, though he seemed careless enough to do so by accident. Did he trust his heart's own judgment? "Haven't the foggiest," he said honestly, hands at his sides.

Frown deepening slightly, Rai leaned forward and kissed Kame lightly before pulling away and heading for the door. "Come over to my room later," he said before opening the door and slipping out. He wasn't sure why he'd done it, but it had felt like the right thing to do, both the kiss (well almost-kiss) and the invitation to his room. Maybe Kame would be feeling better later when he dropped by- that is, if he did.

Kamechirou stood there for awhile. Then he sat down; he sat for a long while as well. He just was not sure how to react to that. On the one hand, Rai did kiss him. And he initiated it on top of that. On the other, he was asked yet again to do the chasing, and he was getting kind of tired of it.

...Although, the fact that Rai initiated a kiss made him feel better somehow. Like a heavy beam of doubt had been lifted off his shoulders.

Maybe he does like me, Kamechirou thought.
