Yukimura walked determinedly along the hallway to Yagyuu's room. Although he knew the other man probably didn't want to see him, he refused to give up. In the time that they'd been apart, he had had plenty of time to think, and try to get over him, but he hadn't been able to. Reaching the door, he knocked lightly, nervously waiting for the door to be opened, nibbling lightly on his bottom lip.
Yagyuu really hadn't been expecting anyone to come visit him at the current hour and so glanced at the door in surprise when he heard a quiet knock. He got up from his desk and crossed the room quickly, opening the door. He frowned as he saw none other than Yukimura standing there and his eyes narrowed before he shut the door again, turning away and walking back into the room.
Accepting that Yagyuu didn't want to talk, but not giving up, Yukimura put his foot in the way of the door, bowing his head as a tear slid down his cheek. Rejection hurt. Pushing the door open, he got down on the ground and bowed low, his hair hanging down in his face. "Please forgive me," he said formally, wet spots forming on the rug under his face. Silently staying in that position, he didn't move a muscle, waiting for Yagyuu's reaction.
Needless to say, Yagyuu was quite surprised when he heard Yukimura speak, and he turned around and stared. His surprised expression turned into a frown as he saw the position Yukimura was in and he sighed. He walked past Yukimura first, closing the door before returning to standing in front of the other man. "Please stand up, Yukimura-kun. Bowing on the floor like that does not suit you."
Yukimura shook his head, not uttering a sound. His hair swayed and his eyes were closed, refusing to look. He didn't care how degrading it was, or how long it took. He would gain Yagyuu's forgiveness. He had screwed up badly, but it had been years, and it was time to correct his mistakes.
Seeing Yukimura's refusal to stand up, Yagyuu frowned and crouched down. "At least stop bowing." he said, reaching out a hand. His hand froze just before it touched Yukimura's hair and he moved it, placing it down on Yukimura's shoulder instead. "Please sit up."
Yukimura mutely shook his head again, leaning away from Yagyuu's hand slightly as another tear fell to the floor.
Yagyuu's expression hardened and he let his hand drop from Yukimura's shoulder. "Yukimura-kun, either sit up or remove yourself from my room."
Yukimura reluctantly sat up, revealing his slightly tearstreaked face. "Yagyuu-..." he began in a pained voice, falling silent after a moment and looking down.
There, that wasn't that hard, was it? He sighed, pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and held it out silently to Yukimura. "If you have something to say, please just say it." It really did hurt too much to hear Yukimura say his name and sound rather heartbroken.
Taking the handkerchief and balling it up in his fist, Yukimura shook his head, refusing to speak as he continued crying.
Crouching there and just watching Yukimura cry was really hard, and Yagyuu had to dig his fingers into the carpet to stop himself from reaching out. Eventually though, he stood up and got another handkerchief out, sitting down in front of Yukimura again. He touched Yukimura's chin gently and rubbed the handkerchief over the man's cheeks with his other hand.
Torn between leaning into the touch and pulling away, Yukimura remained frozen, then made up his mind. Leaning into the touch, he let the tears flow, setting his hands on the floor for balance.
Yagyuu grimaced as the amount of tears increased but he patiently sat there and continued wiping them away. After all, as a doctor he didn't snap at patients to stop crying, and so he couldn't very well say something like that now. "Yukimura-kun... Yukimura, please go and get some rest now."
Yukimura pulled away at Yagyuu's words and shook his head once, sitting straight up on his knees.
Yukimura's silence was pushing at his patience, and taking into consideration their prevous "conversations" as well as what Yukimura had said upon entering his room, Yagyuu had a fairly good idea as to what was wanted from all of this. It was... something he found extremely hard to do as well. However given Yukimura's stubbornness up till now, he doubted Yukimura would just go away. "... If I forgive you, will you please leave my room?"
Nodding slowly, Yukimura blinked back a tear. Forgiveness was good for now; he was tired. He'd work on the rest tomorrow.
