Why: WHO CARES.
Comments: Tezuka has a wtf moment and it all ends. :| Observe and be amazed at my laziness.
Standing outside the entrance to the stairs was slightly uncomfortable, but Yukimura was to intent on his goal to notice his discomfort. He'd gotten Yagyuu and Marui's permissions (sort of) and he'd decided that he wanted to try kissing Tezuka. He'd been standing there for quite some time, and was still waiting for the other boy to come down the stairs. A few people had given him weird looks as they passed, but he'd ignored them, his eyes focused on the stairs. He'd put a sprig of mistletoe there specially, and all he needed was Seigaku's former buchou now. Sighing he shifted his weight to the other leg and leaned against the wall. He wasn't really hiding, so it didn't matter that he was dressed in a yellow and black shirt and long black sweatpants. Besides, it was pretty cold inside, so he didn't want to wear something that he'd end up freezing in...or getting a cold.
It really was far too cold to be wandering about outside, or even for the trek from the dorms to the cafeteria. Food tended to be important, however, so Tezuka had forced himself to deal with the unfriendly weather and hurry outside and then back into the fairly warm cafeteria.
He'd been careful to avoid the mistletoe scattered around campus, besides the one that had been set on Marui's head. It must have been carelessness that had him pulling open the door and moving to step outside and right under a new addition to the Yukimura's miseltoe army.
Grinning when he saw Tezuka stepping under his mistletoe, Yukimura pounced, or, to be precise, he walked forward calmly to stand in front of Tezuka, smiling happily. Standing on tiptoes, he leaned up to press a kiss to the taller boy's mouth, steadying himself on a firm chest. Still smiling against the other buchou's mouth, he leaned into him like a cat, waiting for his reaction interestedly. Would he pull away, or would he freeze? Or perhaps Tezuka would push him away.
It was the first time someone other than Marui had kissed him, and Tezuka wasn't sure he liked it very much - or at all. He frowned against the other's smile, frozen for a moment, then raised both hands to push at Yukimura's shoulders. Forcing him away gently, Tezuka turned his head and broke the half-hearted kiss.
"Yukimura," he said stiffly by way of greeting. He straightened his glasses to distract himself from the embarrassment starting to curl in his stomach. "What are you doing?"
"Kissing you," Yukimura answered with an "Isn't-it-obvious" smile, "You're standing under mistletoe, you see," he finished, pointing up at the small sprig he'd hung. Kissing Tezuka had been...like kissing a rock really. A warm rock, admittedly, but the other boy was rather unresponsive. He didn't quite see why Marui liked the boy, but ah well. He didn't control who the former regulars dated, after all... Pushing a strand of hair behind his ear, he smiled unaffectedly.
"I see." Tezuka glanced up at the misletoe, silently directing all the hate in his body towards Christmas. His hands hung uselessly at his sides for a moment, then he shook his head and moved to step around Yukimura. Really, what did you say to a schoolmate when they decided to kiss you? A thank you seemed polite, but stupid and he wasn't about to say it. "You'd best go in soon," He added, noting his fogging breath.
Nodding, Yukimura followed Tezuka inside, and closed the door behind him. Noting to himself that Seigaku's former buchou did not like Christmas, his smile widened and he parted ways with the other boy to head towards him room. The willow tree bonsai could use some trimming, and he wanted to check on his gift for Fuji.
