Poor Kaidoh had once again been flustered by a senpai's comments, why does everyone call him or his habits cute? It's really weird... He thought to himself. Finally, he decided to seek out Fuji-senpai and ask him.
Fuji was in his room, standing by the window and looking out on the grounds below, when suddenly a soft knock on the door brought him from his musings. It wasn't as if he was expecting any visitors, so the unexpected visit felt like a welcome surprise, and he hurried over to the door, opening it, his smile widening as he saw who it was. "Kaidoh! What can I do for you?"
"Um... I just wanted to ask you about those comments you made earlier..." Kaidoh said carefully, gripping his right elbow nervously. He also blushed a bit, feeling he was being a bit stupid, making such a big deal out of a few comments.
"Comments?" Fuji blinked, then it came back to him. Yes, true, he had made some rather flirtatious comments in his journal while chatting with Kaidoh, hadn't he? Oh, so that was what was bothering the younger boy. Now, wasn't that just... adorable? "Oh, right. What about them?"
"Well... they we're kind of... weird..." Kaidoh struggled to say. "I'm not adorable Fuji-senpai..." He hissed a bit in frustration. Really, what in the world had these comments done to him, he was acting a bit strange himself now.
"I beg to differ," the tensai smirked, folding his arms across his chest and leaning against the wall. "I hope I didn't insult you, however."
Kaidoh blushed furiously, "you didn't insult me... it's just really weird, that's all." Again, Kaidoh felt really stupid for making a big deal out of it... he really didn't mind... it was kind of nice, in fact.
The smirk on Fuji's lips grew softer, more into a real smile, and he sounded almost almost timid when he spoke up: "Then maybe I should make it up to you, somehow?"
Kaidoh looked up at his smiling senpai, "eh? How?" He asked with the innocence of a lamb.
"I don't know. What do you want~?"
"Eh? I don't know..." He replied, not understanding Fuji properly.
"Well, think about it then." Fuji grinned and walked further into the room, taking a seat on his bed. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"Uh... not really... Maybe we could play a match sometime?" Kaidoh suggested, staying where he was, right inside the door frame.
"If you want." Fuji smiled widely. "I'm always up for a game~"
"Okay, let's have a match Fuji-senpai, I won't go easy on you." Kaidoh said in a determined tone.
"I'm hoping you won't," Fuji smirked, playing thoughtfully with the folds on his shirt.
"Che, never!" Kaidoh got ready to leave, "I'm sorry for bugging you senpai." He bowed.
"You weren't bugging me. I liked the company, really." Getting to his feet, Fuji walked over to his desk and pulled out a small lidded can. Removing the lid and stuffing his hand inside the can, he brought up a handful of candy. "Want some?"
"Eh... it won't kill me, right?" You really could never put anything past the tensai, but Kaidoh walked twords Fuji anyways, candy sounded nice. Somewhere in the very very back of his mind a little voice was screaming 'pedophile!' but he ignored it.
The candy was small, apple flavored drops with mint filling. They were on the sweet side, as Fuji couldn't stand sour things, the mint filling giving them the extra kick they needed to keep from being completely bland in taste. "Of course not, they're good~ ♥"
Kaidoh picked one up hesitantly and put it in his mouth. "It is good..." he smiled ever so slightly.
The tensai beamed and popped one into his mouth as well. "I'm glad you like them! They're one of my favorites, actually~"
"It's... different... but really good." He coutinued to suck on the candy.
The golden haired boy chuckled, enjoying the taste of the candy drop as it rolled over his tongue. "You want to know how I first got them? My sister had brought home a bunch of stuff from a friend who had a moving away party. And there were a few candies in there. Nee-san didn't want them, so she gave them to me~"
"Well... it's good that she was so generous..." Kaidoh observed as he was finishing up the candy. "C-can I have another one?"
Nodding at the can, Fuji smiled. "Help yourself. I have more."
Kaidoh nodded and took another one. "Thank you senpai."
"No problem." Fuji thought for a moment, then laughed. "I guess this can be counted as my apology, nee~?"
"Do I still get a match?" Kaidoh asked as he played around with the candy in his mouth.
"Sure~" Making a small face, Fuji continued, allowing the last piece of the candy crush between his teeth. "It won't be until next week though. I'm still supposed to take it a bit easy."
"Oh yeah... I forgot..." Kaidoh felt really bad for being so inconsiderate, "sorry..."
"Hm?" Fuji looked up, looking slightly puzzled. "For what?"
"I was being inconsiderate..." Kaidoh looked away and concentrated on his candy.
"You weren't." Fuji looked closely at him, his smile for once gone.
"Really. Don't feel bad, okay?"
"Okay... I'm sorry..." Kaidoh once again felt really stupid, apologizing because he had nothing better to say.
"That's fine." Fuji offered him a crooked grin. "And it's not as if I don't have myself to blame to begin with."
"Oh... well... um..." Kaidoh really had nothing to say to that.
"Anyway." Fuji got to his feet and stretched a little. "It was nice having you over~ Please don't be a stranger, nee~?"
"O-okay senpai, I'll see you..." Kaidoh then headed back to his room where Shinji was probably still talking to himself.
