Fuji frowned down at his hands, each curving around a covered styrofoam cup. The black strap of his camera was looped around a thin wrist, crisscrossing up his arm because he'd enjoyed the way the rough material looked against the cream of his cashmere sweater. Now he realized that it would have been more practical to loop the camera over his shoulder as usual. He didn't want to risk holding a cup between his arm and chest while he opened the door for fear of dropping the drink on his precious camera. A faint frown marred his delicate features for a moment before he kicked the toe of his boot against the wood of the door, hoping Kajimoto was actually in the room as expected. "Let me in! I have hot chocolate and I'm willing to share."

Kajimoto turned the page in the book he was reading. He been engrossed in it for that past hour or so and hadn't really moved from the spot on his bed since he'd started it. He went to turn another page and blinked from his position when he heard the thump on the door, followed by Fuji's voice.

"Ah, coming." He set his book to the side and stood up, heading for the door. He opened the door with a small smile to his roommate. "Need an extra hand or two?"

"Or six." Fuji's voice was wry, an amused thread running through it. "Think of all the things I could do." Allowing Kajimoto to relieve him of the cups of chocolate, he balanced his weight on one foot and then the other to remove his boots before stepping further into the room. The strap was slowly unwound from around his arm before setting the camera down on the bed and retrieving possession of one of the cups with a contented sound at cold fingers wrapping around the warmth once again. "Were you busy?"

"No, I wasn't really." Kajimoto answered moving to sit back on his bed with his cup of hot chocolate. "I was just reading a little before I went to find a quiet spot to practice my yoga..." He nodded towards the book that was sitting next to him. "And thank you for the chocolate." He took a sip of it.

"Careful," he warned, watching Kajimoto bring the cup to his lips. "It's... spicy." The last word trailed off as the other had already taken a sip and whatever warning Fuji was attempting to give was already too late. The drink wasn't overly spicy, but it wasn't exactly only sweet either. It was a blend he found rather pleasant himself, but the years had taught him no everyone shared his exact sense of taste. He dropped down upon his bed, easily curling his legs beneath himself and blowing into his own cup before taking a taste. "Yoga? Did I take away your practice space by moving in?"

Kajimoto's face twisted and he did his best not to spit the drink out of his mouth. It would be rude and rather ungrateful after Fuji had been kind enough to bring it for him. He placed a hand in front of his mouth and willed himself to swallow and placed the cup to the side. "That was... interesting..." He wasn't going to be trying that again. He wiped his mouth. "Ah, you did, but it would have happened eventually, so no worries."

Rather than look offended, Fuji seemed to be having a hard time not laughing at the look of disgust that had flashed across Kajimoto's face. Perhaps next time he would bring him a more traditional drink rather than attempting to expand his taste palette. Pink lips curved into a wider grin behind the white of his styrofoam cup. "Hn. You can practice here. I don't mind."

It took Kajimoto a moment to free his face completely of the look of disgust. "I suppose I could, but I wouldn't want to take up a too much space in here." He leaned back resting his back against the wall. "I was thinking of maybe heading to the gym or something like that maybe."

Fuji dragged the tip of his tongue along the  lower curve of his lip, catching a few stray droplets. "I would have enjoyed watching you," he admitted, letting Kajimoto make of that what he willed. "Won't the gym be loud and crowded?"

Kajimoto had to agree that Fuji was right. The gym would probably be loud and crowded. Though he wasn't exactly sure he was comfortable with Fuji watching him either. "That's true... But I doubt that it would be crowded all of the time."

"Do you mind if I tag along, then?" A hand reaches for the camera and lofts it in the air even while Fuji takes another drink from his quickly emptying cup. "I'd like to take pictures, if you don't mind."

"Ah, if you want... That would be fine, I guess..." Kajimoto answered. A few pictures couldn't hurt. "May I ask what the pictures would be for?"

Curving both hands around the base of his cup, Fuji tilted it back and drained what was left of the chocolate before standing up to dispose of it. The permission to come along brought a pleased grin to his features and he moved to retrieve his camera, fiddling with some of the settings and making sure there was plenty of memory left. Kajimoto's question brought his gaze back up towards him, and Fuji offered him a warm grin. "My private collection."

Private... collection? What exactly that meant, Kajimoto didn't think he wanted to know. He also didn't think he liked the grin Fuji gave him. "I... see... Okay then."

He slung the strap of the camera over his shoulder and moved to the dresser to look for a pair of gloves. It was getting colder out and his fingers had been suffering in the chilly wind. Slipping them on, he headed towards the door and stopped to wait for Kajimoto. "I'll show them to you once I develop them."

Kajimoto slid off his bed and grabbed his yoga mat from next to his bed holding it under his arm. He grabbed a thick jacket and slid it on for the walk. He walked out of the room behind Fuji. "That would be nice. I'd like that."

Even in the short time he'd been in the room, the outside air had grown chillier. Fuji hunched his shoulders forward against the wind, hair pushed back away from his face then tossed back by it. He hummed under his breath, a catchy song he'd heard a part of earlier but didn't know the lyrics to, as they walked, keeping pace with Kajimoto. "Are any of your old teammates here?"

He was definitely going to have to go shopping for a coat before the winter was over. Before it started actually. He clutched his mat closer to him. "No, it's only me that's here right now." He wished some of his teammates were there, but they were all doing their own thing. He made a mental note to call them later. "But it seems like quite a few of your old teammates are here. You must be happy about that."

"I am." Fuji's smile was more real this time, curving up just along the edges as the blue of his eyes focused on Kajimoto. He hadn't gotten to see all of them yet, but he had been there less than a week. Despite the teasing of Kaidoh and his somewhat awkard reunion with Tezuka, there was something that felt remarkably like coming home when he was with them. "Do you share any classes with any of them?"

"I believe I share a class with Inui-kun." Kajimoto answered with a nod. "It turns out that we're in the same major."

Fuji did a hundred and eighty degree turn, starting to walk backwards so he was facing Kajimoto.  The camera was brought up and he quickly snapped a picture of the other boy. "What's your major?"

Kajimoto blinked in surprise as Fuji snapped a picture of him, confused for a moment. "It's... physical therapy... Though I'm also in training to become a yoga instructor... But physical therapy is the one we share." He wondered why Fuji was so interested in it.

"Physical therapy." Fuji murmured the word out loud, as if tasting it even while he snapped a second picture. He could see Inui majoring in it, feeling no surprise. He dropped the camera to let it dangle around his neck and reached up to push back the wild strands of his hair. "Maybe you can teach me yoga."

"I could try." Kajimoto had been practicing yoga for enough years to be able to anyway. He just needed to become certified. "Are you okay with the possibility of me have to reposition you if you aren't doing the poses correctly? You'll also need your own mat of course."

"That would be fine." The more Fuji thinks on it, the more he starts looking forward to it. If he's going to be living with Kajimoto, he wants to actually get along with him. A common interest would help, and yoga would also help him with his tennis. His eyes crinkled shut with his grin as he gave Kajimoto a small, playful salute. "I'll be your first student, sensei."

Kajimoto's face tented a bit red at being called that. "You don't have to call me sensei." He'd probably prefer it if Fuji didn't. He smiled regardless however. "I hope I don't disappoint you."

"Perhaps only when you're teaching me." The gym was in sight now and Fuji hurried over, opening the door to slip inside into the warmth and escape from the cold night chill.

"If you really want to." Kajimoto hurried in behind Fuji, glad to be inside the warm building. "I'm really starting to regret not preparing better for the cold."

"At least the dorm is heated." A shiver wracked his last frame as the cold began leaving his body and warmth seeped in, glad they were inside now. "Or we'd need to start stock piling blankets."

Kajimoto chuckled. "We would have to do that, wouldn't we? It doesn't sound very fun." He unzipped his jacket and looked around the gym for a good spot to set up his mat. "How about we go over there?" He pointed to an area where few people were.

"That looks like a good spot." Fuji hadn't been expecting to work out himself and so hadn't really dressed for it. His clothes were not completely unsuitable to a light work out, however. He tugged the sweater over his head, folding it neatly into one of the available cubicles before following after Kajimoto, camera still in hand.

"I was thinking that maybe you'd like to sit this one out since you aren't really prepared and we can have a first lesson next time." Kajimoto suggested as he placed his mat down. "That is, if you don't mind of course."

"Saah..." A fingertip pressed against the side of his cheek, grin trembling on his lips but not quite forming. "But I was so looking forward to it..." Yet even as he spoke, Fuji was stepping back to let Kajimoto set up the mat, already toying with his camera. While sometimes he took pictures because he knew the other party did not  wished him to, most times -such as this - he honestly thought they were worth taking.

"Well you'd  need a mat first, and maybe some other things first." Kajimoto said as he stepped onto his mat to start his warm-up stretches.

"that's true~" Despite having no plans to work out himself, Fuji gathered his hair into a pony tail and quickly tied it back with a band that had been around his wrist. It had grown long enough ot easily put up, but he still had no intention of cutting it yet. "Why don't you start by showing me some basic forms? I can try them next time."

Kajimoto nodded. "Well first, you always start with warm-up stretches." He shut his eyes and took a slow breath in and exhaled as he began his stretches. When he was done, he glanced over to Fuji. "I'll be starting you off with a set of beginner poses that should take us no more than an hour to finish." He sat down on his mat and brought the soles of his feet together in front of him. He then warped his fingers around his toes pulling his heels closer towards his body, keeping his back straight. "This one is called the butterfly pose." He took in deep breaths through his nose as he held the pose for a few minutes.

While yoga had never been something he'd explored in depth, Fuji knew some of the mere basics. Still, it had been a long time since he'd attempted any of them, and a refresher course couldn't help. Besides, Kajimoto wanted to be a teacher, right? He settled down against the back wall, close enough to watch and take pictures but not get in Kajimoto's way. His attention was soley focused on the taller man, as if what he was doing was fascinating. Fuji nodded and took a picture, checking the focus and lightly before returning his attention to Kajimoto.

Kajimoto eased himself out of the pose and positioned himself on his hands and knees. "Next is the cat pose which we'll pair with the cow pose." He exhaled and rounded his spine towards the ceiling, letting his head fall towards the floor. Then he inhaled, pushing his stomach down and lifted his head back up to look forward, for the cow pose. He repeated the actions a few more times before moving to change his position.

There was something extremely graceful about every move Kajimoto made. Fuji hadn't noticed before, but he hadn't been paying as close attention as he was now. Or perhaps it was that the grace was only displayed when Kajimoto was in his element. He wasn't sure, but he was dutifully taking note of every move the other made, capturing them in picture after picture. The line of his back, the way he arched and turned - and he really was incredibly flexible -, and every breath he inhaled and exhaled were carefully tucked into a new file of Fuji's mind. Roommate. The person he would likely see the most over the next year. "I can see why you needed to stretch first."

Kajimoto nodded and continued through the rest of the poses in the set the same way as the first two showing each of them off before coming to the last one. He lied down comfortably on his back and let his hands rest at his sides. "And this last one is the Corpse Pose. It's for relaxing your body and it's really calming as well if you've had a stressful day."

"Do you have a lot of those?" The question came from behind the camera, eventually lowering it so he can better look at Kajimoto without the lense between them. The name had made his lips quirk, and the faint smile remained there as he moved a little closer, kneeling on the side of the mat.

"No, not really. They come around sometimes but not often." Kajimoto answered, not moving from his position. "But, sometimes it is just nice to lie around in silence without anything to worry about."

"Hnn." Fuji's voice is soft agreement, and his fingers itch for pencil and paper on which to sketch Kajimoto. He wonders if the other would lay still long enough to let Fuji do it, and maybe one day he'll ask. Instead he brushes fingers just along the edge of Kajimoto's shirt, before withdrawing his hand and sitting back on his heels. "It seems like it would be."

Kajimoto sat up after a few moments before standing. "That was a bit refreshing. It's been a while since I've done a full set of beginner poses." He started rolling up his mat. He glanced at Fuji. "So, uh, did you get any good pictures." He'd been too focused on what he was doing to really pay attention.

"More than a few." Fuji stood up and dusted his pants, grinning at Kajimoto. "I'll wait until I develop them before showing them to you. They always look better that way." He had managed to find the photography department on campus already, and would be starting classes there next week which granted him access to their dark room.

Kajimoto smiled. "I look forward to seeing them when their developed then." He picked up his mat. "Shall we get ready to head back to our room?" He wasn't looking forward to the cold walk back but, at least the building would be warm when they got there.

"Want to help me develop them?" The question was asked on a whim, as Kajimoto had never displayed an interest in his photography other than to ask after his own pictures. Even while asking, Fuji was already moving towards where he had stored his sweater to tug it back on. He should have worn something warmer, but hadn't expected the weather to drop so drastically. "Let's hurry before it gets even colder."

"Would that even be a good idea?" Kajimoto asked as he slipped on his jacket. "I don't know if I'd be of any help to you at all. It's a nice offer though." He nodded at the suggestion of hurrying back. "Yeah, let's do that." He said stepping out into the cold air.

He gave a one shouldered shrug, not bothering to say that it had been mostly an offer to keep him company while he developed them. Instead he steps out with Kajimoto. He gasps as the air cuts through him, much colder than earlier and hunches forward to  guard against him. He can see his breath fogging white in front of his face, and his gaze moves to Kajimoto. "Won't you get sick since your body is still warm?"

Kajimoto blinked for a moment. As particular as he was about his health, he hadn't really been thinking for that. "Ah..." He hoped he wouldn't get sick. He didn't want to be stuck in bed for a few days. He shivered. "We really should hurry back then. I honestly forgot how cold it was out here."

Fuji wrapped his fingers around Kajimoto's wrist, a small laugh bubbling forth. "Then we better hurry," he urged again and began to run, tugging his roommate along with him.

Kajimoto almost stumbled as Fuji grabbed his wrist and started running. Almost. He caught himself quickly and ran along side the other man. He laughed despite the cold air drying his throat. "You don't have to pull so hard." He was glad when they finally caught sight of the dorms.

Fuji's eyes sparkled back at him, alive and bright and brimming with amusement. "Just making sure you can keep up," he teased. He eyed the distance to the dorm before glancing back at Kajimoto. The other man had obviously faster legs, but maybe if he had the element of surprise... "Race you," Fuji called and sped off towards the warmth their room had to offer.

Kajimoto paused, momentarily surprised. Keep up? He could definitely keep up. "You're on." He took off behind Fuji, heading towards their room.

Kajimoto had the advantage, but Fuji didn't play fair. Feeling the taller boy nipping at his heels, he zig zagged in front of him, hoping the almost crash would throw him off pace and put a burst of speed as he darted up the stairs to their floor, his laughter trailing bright and loud behind him.

It did throw him off his pace and it took Kajimoto a moment to right himself and continue racing after Fuji. For some reason he wasn't all that surprised by his roommate's dirty tactic as he ran up the stairs taking enough care not to fall down them by accident.

Fuji spared one look over his shoulder and the laughter spilling from his lips renewed at seeing he'd been successful. While in an out and out race Kajimoto would likely beat him ten out of ten times, he'd managed to buy himself enough time to come skidding to a stop in front of their closed dorm door before the other caught up. He fumbled for the key, calling back a teasing "too slow~"

Kajimoto stopped in front of their door a few moments later and shook his head. "It's only because you played dirty." He said as he caught his breath and smiled. "Next time," If they ever had another race anyway. "You play fair."

"But if I play fair," Fuji pointed out as the key slotted perfectly into place and he turned his back on the closed door. "I can't win against your long legs." He flicked his wrist, pushing the door open and stepping backwards through it before spinning away from Kajimoto again, smiling. "You call it playing dirty. I call it being resourceful~"

Kajimoto shook his head, walking into the room and shutting the door. He shrugged and chuckled. "If you say so." He dumped the yoga mat onto his bed. "I'll be ready next time then."

"I'll have to come up with a new trick next time." Fuji's voice was muffled as he pulled his sweater over his head, but there was a playful challenge in his gaze when he looked back at  Kajimoto. He'd felt strange knowing he would have to share a room with a boy he hardly even remember from all that time ago, but maybe they could start to find some common ground.

"Heh, I'll be looking out for it." Kajimoto ran a hand through his hair before taking off his jacket. He gathered his bath materials head headed towards the bathroom. "I think I'll have a quick shower." It would warm him up quite nicely. "See you when I get out."

"Don't use up all the cold water," Fuji called out to Kajimoto's back, grinning and shaking his head. It had been nice to spend time with the other today, even if they hadn't done anything special. Gathering his own shower things, all he wanted now was to wash away the day and fall into bed.
