Who: Sengoku Kiyosumi + Kirihara Akaya
What: Blind Date!
When: V-Day
Where: Mostly under a tree
Rating: PG
Well, this was exciting. It had to be for Sengoku to have such a wide grin plastered on his face. It had been too long since he had last been on a date - he blamed school for that, what with all its attention-commanding homework. Arriving at the picnic basket, it was hard to wait patiently, simply because of the excitement, and he ran a hand through his hair slowly to keep himself from bouncing around. "Ayaka," he read allowed the name from the picnic basket before looking around himself once again. "Cute name~"
Akaya hadn't felt this self-conscious since the time his sister had dressed him up and taken him to school for show and tell as her trained pet monkey in the fifth grade. He was glad they'd let him wear flats because there were few people at school taller than him and heels would almost ensure that he'd be taller than even them. The rest of his outfit was nothing short of stunning. It would have looked better if he had a girlier body, but he had just enough baby fat still to make it look good, despite his 181cm height and lack of girly hips. He'd had his legs, arms, and armpits waxed by his senpai and he'd never been gladder that he didn't have any chest hair.
It was unnerving to feel the light breeze going up under his red dress that cut down unevenly across his thighs, showing more of his left leg than his right. He felt like everyone could tell he was a guy, but with his hair straightened, a choker to hide his Adams apple, a nice black jacket that ended just under his fake breasts, and a light dusting of makeup, he knew he looked just as girly as the rest of them. He walked up to the groups of people meeting up with their dates and saw one man standing alone. He recognized the guy from Yamabuki and he shivered, hoping the other guy didn’t recognize him.
"....Hi..." he said nervously, glad his voice wasn't terribly deep as he laced his fingers in front of him and looked at the other man through his long black bangs, "Sorry I'm late..."
Sengoku had turned around with the intention of telling his date that it was okay and that there was no need to apologize, but all words caught in his throat when he caught sight of just who his date was. The first thing that he noticed was just how tall she was. The second was that even if she wasn’t Ms. Legs-Ass-and-Breasts, she was every easy on the eyes, and the red-head found himself staring. "Sengoku Kiyosumi," he introduced himself with a slight grin and a short bow as he took Akaya's hand and pressed his lips to the knuckles. "How lucky, to get a cute girl like you." Had he known just exactly he was talking to, he'd probably have been running the other way. Or close to it.
Akaya flushed a little at the gesture, not used to being the submissive one to anyone but his senpai-tachi. It wasn't as bad as he thought it would be and apparently his disguise worked wonders, "Kirihara Ayaka...." he said, feeling odd saying a name that wasn't quite his, "I-it's nice to meet you..."
Kirihara.. That was familiar, but only a little. It wasn't enough to through Sengoku off course, as he picked up the picnic basket with on one hand and offered his free arm. "Shall we go, Ayaka-chan?" He asked, inviting himself to the liberty of a first-name basis. "We can find a nice quiet place under a tree to have our picnic."
Akaya looked to the arm and smiled a little. This was kind of nice, even though he didn't want to admit it. He knew his senpai would make fun of him if they knew he enjoyed being treated like a girl like this. It wasn't his fault that being treated nicely and almost lovingly for once felt good...."Alright, lead the way," he said and laced his arm through Sengoku's.
Sengoku gave a nod and began to walk at an unhurried pace. He wasn't unused to being a gentleman for the fairer sex, especially since he had always considered girls to be so much more fragile than their testosterone-filled counterparts - not that he was stupid enough to fully believe that, or say it aloud. He had known of many women who would be able to snap a man in half without blinking, and even the girls his age had a mean force behind their slaps. That never deterred him from being gentle with them, however, and as long as he didn't say anything about them being weaker than himself, he was usually safe.
"You um... You play tennis don't you?" He said as they walked, trying to start some kind of conversation and being careful to speak in a girly dialect. He didn't need to out himself over something stupid like word usage.
"Since junior high," He confirmed with a nod and a smile. "Not as much as I used to, but I'm getting back into it now that I have some great opponents here." It was true that if he hadn't of come to this place, he probably would've dropped out of tennis altogether, simply because there was no longer a challenge for him. "What about you? What club activities?"
"I play tennis too...." he said with a smile, girls played tennis too, right? "There are a lot of great players here, aren't there?" he said and giggled a little. He'd been out with enough girls to know how they acted on a date and he was glad for the experience now, "Like Sanada-fu---senpai and Tezuka-p-san.... Atobe-san too...." He chimed like the proud kohai he was.
Had Sengoku been paying proper attention, he may have noticed the almost-slip in the honorifics, but he had never been known for being able to concentrate on something like that while he had something to look at. "A girl who plays tennis? Aa, lucky me~" He said with a grin. "Too bad we don't have our rackets, or we could've had a friendly game together. Or maybe just some one-on-one training." A wink accompanied his words and grin this time.
"Yeah, too bad..." He rolled his eyes mentally at the somewhat cheesy comment about the one on one training; did girls really swoon over that shit? Outwardly though he just smiled and giggled.
Answering the giggle with a laugh, Sengoku's grin only widened before he glanced around them, spotting a nice, shady spot beneath a large tree, away from most of the other people who were out on the blind dates. "How about here?" He asked, wondering if it would be a good spot for their picnic.
"Looks good to me," he smiled and slowly moved his arm from Sengoku's. Maybe this blind date thing wouldn't be as bad as he thought it would be. Though he was not looking forward to Sengoku finding out Akaya wasn't a girl.
Sengoku carefully placed the picnic basket down on the ground and crouched down beside it so he could inspect the contents. "Everything looks so good," he said as he straightened again, pulling off his jacket and laying it down on the ground before glancing to his date with a smile. "Please. Sit." He offered his hand for assistance, ever the gentleman.
He didn't need the help. He knew that, but he still took the hand and sat, trying to sit daintily like a girl. It was harder than it looked and made his groin hurt. He started putting out the contents of the basic for them like a girl would do and glanced at Sengoku with a little smile, "You're quite a gentleman..."
Sitting beside her, Sengoku simply smiled. "Nothing good comes from being anything but a gentleman to a lovely girl," he said, rubbing the back of his head slightly as he gave a sheepish grin. "My cheeks are well aware of that."
He giggled and reached up to cup Sengoku's cheek gently, "Had to learn the hard way, huh?" He'd done the same thing so he understood how much it stung to get slapped. How did girls hit that bloody hard?
The fact that he blushed at the sudden contact of another's hand against his face told Sengoku he really had been out of the game too long. "I was a slow learner, too," he admitted, the grin still slightly sheepish.
He giggled again and let his hand fall, "You know, it's interesting to find a straight guy like you here...it seems everyone here is well...interested in each other more than the girls...." Part of him hoped Sengoku was bi, but he doubted he'd be that lucky.
"It's strange being one of the only straight guys around here," He rubbed at the back of his head again, but didn't look away from Akaya. "Coming here, I was expecting to be part of the majority, not the minority. It's taking some getting used to." He finished with a slightly nervous laugh, remembering his first day here, and just how he had reacted to finding out his best friends weren't as straight as he had thought they were.
Not bi. Damn. Oh well.... All the good ones were straight, "I'm sure it is.... This certainly isn't the place to be if you're homophobic..."
Another nervous laugh and a rub at the back of his head before Sengoku finally looked away to the food. "Let's eat, shall we?" He asked, not-so-subtly changing the subject to something that didn't make him so fidgety. He wasn't homophobic. Just... a little uncomfortable around gay guys.
Definitely not bi, "Yes, let's," he smiled and offered a pair of chopsticks to Sengoku before taking a pair for himself. Poor guy, he looked so uncomfortable with the previous subject, he felt bad for doing this to him, but maybe this would help him see that there was nothing to be uncomfortable with when it came to gay guys and he'd be able to relax more.
Taking the chopsticks, he was glad that the subject change had been accepted and reached forward to pick up a piece of the sushi. He lifted it and held his hand underneath it before offering it to Akaya. "Ladies first~"
Yes! This was by far the best part of being a lady. He opened his mouth and took the piece of sushi into his mouth with a happy purr at the flavor. He didn't like most of Seigaku, but he had to admit that guy made damn good sushi, "Mmmm...." he hummed happily and chewed.
Sengoku gave a smile, sitting back a little to a grab a piece himself before eating it. "That Kawamura-kun is a good sushi chef," he said once he had finished, having had to restrain himself from talking with his mouth full. "No wonder Seigaku liked to win, if this was their celebration feast."
Akaya nodded and cursed a little mentally. Did that mean they would have won if they'd had awesome sushi? Damn, he'd have to tell buchou that it was the secret to Seigaku's success. He picked up another piece of sushi and this time held it out for Sengoku, trying to return the cute gesture.
Sengoku blinked at the gesture, not used to having it be returned, but made no protest, instead smiling and taking the piece of sushi, chewing it quietly with his eyes closed. "Even better when someone feeds you," he commented with a slight laugh, running his tongue over his lips. His smile slipped into a slightly childish pout as he suddenly busied himself with trying to free a stubborn grain of rice where it had gotten stuck on his lip.
He smiled and giggled at the expression before leaning in and stealing the grain of rice with his lips, brushing them over Sengoku's lightly. He'd never been a very well reserved person when it came to physical contact and he knew it wasn't very girly, but he'd done it before he thought about it and afterwards he flushed lightly, "It's not good to waste rice," he added a coy little smile and watched Sengoku carefully, wondering if he was going to get in trouble for that.
He knew he was blushing, but he ignored the slight heat in his cheeks in favor of deepening his pout at his companion. "Hey, that was mine," he protested, trying not to whine or burst into a wide grin again. "But... I guess I can forgive you. If only because you're so cute." He gave a slight smile before leaning forward and brushing his lips over Akaya's cheek before pulling away again almost instantly and busying himself with another piece of sushi.
It was his turn to flush and he shifted a little, watching Sengoku from under his currently rim rod straight hair subtly. He didn't know what to say so he just popped another piece of sushi into his mouth, embarrassed but happier than he'd been in a long time.
Sengoku chuckled softly, glancing at Akaya out of the corner of his eye with a slight smile on his lips. He was definitely enjoying himself, and he was sure there was nothing that could make this go any better than it already was - or ruin it, for that matter. "Thirsty, Ayaka-chan?" He asked, grabbing one of the bottles of tea.
He nodded, his mouth currently full of sushi and smiled a little. He was being good and eating politely and girl like, something he almost never did--unless Sanada was around and made him eat better for fear of laps.
Sengoku smiled and grabbed the two cups that had also been packed, twisting the lid off the bottle and carefully filling them. He didn't mind acting a gentleman once in while. He always did it for first dates, simply because he wanted to make a good impression on whichever girl he had been lucky enough to pick up. Did he act like such a gentleman on the second date? Well, he'll get back to you when he finally gets one.
Finally swallowing he took one of the cups and drank some of the warm liquid before smiling at him, "Thank you," he said happily and hoped the rest of the date went this well, maybe then he wouldn't get AS mad at him later, "Nee, Kiyosumi-kun, tell me more about yourself..." if Sengoku was going to use given names he would too. Fair was fair.
He thought for a moment, taking a slow sip of his own cup of tea. "Well, I don't like to brag-" Liar. "But in I made Japan's Junior Selection back when I was more serious about tennis." He took a moment to finish off his drink before adding, "And I've never lost a toss. That's why I'm lucky Sengoku."
"Lucky huh," He smiled and tried not to let his eye twitch at the mention of the Junior Selection Camp. It was still a rather sore subject with him, though he did joke with An-chan about it, but that was different, "Play your cards right and you may be lucky for another reason," He teased and sipped at his tea again with a little smirk.
He gave a small grin as he caught the wink before picking up another piece of sushi. "What about Ayaka-chan?" He asked. "What else can I know about you? Surely you aren't just a tennis player with such cute looks."
Well he couldn't really lie so...."I like video games," he said and flushed a bit, girls weren't supposed to like those things, but he always failed at lying, "Kinda weird for a girl, huh?"
Sengoku blinked and tilted his head, observing his date for a moment before smiling. "Tomboy," he said with a soft laugh. "You're a tomboy, aren't you? Tennis and video games. It's cute~"
He turned a darker red and wondered how the hell this guy was still single when he was such a sweet talker, but then again--there weren't many girls there and the ones that were there were kind of evil, even An-chan, "Yeah.....you...really think it's cute?"
"Of course I think it's cute. I wouldn't say it otherwise." He gave another laugh and refilled his own cup. "Besides," he continued. "I'm not really any good at them, so the fact that anyone can play them is impressive."
He grinned and moved a little closer to Sengoku subtly, "I can teach you sometime," He giggled, "After I beat you in tennis, of course," He teased, though he knew he would school the boy no problem.
"Well, aren't you confident," He leaned a little closer as he twisted the bottle back on the bottle. "Guess you won't need that handicap I was going to give you for looking so adorable in a tennis uniform."
"I should be giving you the handicap, for being distracted by me in a tennis uniform," He teased with a sly smirk, very happy the other was moving closer to him.
He cocked an eyebrow at that and laughed slightly, leaning away again to place the bottle down by the picnic basket. "That is very considerate of you," he commented. "I'd probably have to agree to it, as well. Maybe a five game handicap?"
"Five game?" He giggled and shook his head, his medium length black hair swaying as he did, "I was thinking a 30 point handicap."
He pouted slightly before giving a shrug and trying to look as nonchalant and uncaring as he could - which wasn't very much, considering who he was. "Well, if you're convinced you won't look good enough to hold my attention for long..." He commented almost off-handedly.
"If I play naked do I just win automatically?" He teased, pretty damn sure that would distract Sengoku, and sadly he wasn't above that either.
Sengoku raised both his eyebrows in slight surprise before lowering them again and giving a slight smirk as he leaned right in close to Akaya until their noses were almost touching. "Don't be ridiculous," he said softly. "If you were naked, we wouldn't be anywhere near a tennis court."
Akaya shivered and touched their noses together playfully, "Oh?" He wanted to reach out and touch Sengoku's hand, but he knew he shouldn't, his hands were too big to really pass as girl hands, "And were would we be instead?"
"Many places," He said, not pulling away at the contact and instead leaning forward enough to press their foreheads together. "A changing room, the shower... my bedroom. Wherever Ayaka-chan wants."
He wished that was true. But he knew as soon as the other found out he was a guy he wouldn't even want to touch him a little, damn it, he was so cute though. Akaya couldn't help but wonder if he was good in bed too, "Mm, you definitely know how to make a girl feel wanted," he purred and decided to take the first step and press their lips together gently. He kept it light like a girls kiss and let Sengoku set the pace, hoping the 'lucky' man didn't mind.
Despite all the teasing and the physical closeness, the kiss had caught him off-guard and left him slightly stunned for a moment. It was only for that moment that he was stunned, however, and he wasted no time in slowly pressing back against the lips touching his. He slowly lifted one of his hands, tucking Akaya's hair behind his ear before pressing the palm of his hand against his date's cheek.
He closed his brilliant green eyes and relaxed into the kiss. Sengoku was the only boy he'd ever kissed willingly, aside from Ryou, and it made him tingly all over. It was always so different from kissing a girl, but it was still so good. He just hoped Sengoku could see that too.
Watching the other's eyes close, Sengoku smiled slightly before closing his own. Shifting slightly, he moved himself a little closer to Akaya so he could deepen the kiss again.
He purred into the kiss and hesitantly brought his hand up to touch Sengoku's chest, feeling an odd sense of relief to be able to kiss a boy in public like this without everyone staring at him weird. Maybe he was starting to enjoy this a little too much...
He hummed softly in reply, running the hand that had been resting on Akaya's cheek into his hair and slipped his tongue out enough to run the tip lightly along his date's lip.
Akaya shivered a little and opened his mouth, letting Sengoku take the initiative. With Ryou he'd always had to be that person and with the girls he'd been with too--so to be on the other end of it, it was a very new but invigorating feeling.
If Sengoku had been able to think properly, he might've noticed that it felt just a little different to kissing girls. Then again, it had been a while since he had properly kissed a girl like this. But he wasn't thinking, unable to do so with the simple feeling of enjoyment from the kiss as his tongue slowly ventured into the other's mouth.
He'd never had much of a conscience, and perhaps it was all Ryou's fault, but after that steamy kiss that left him breathless, he pulled away and looked at Sengoku for a long moment. He wanted this, to go on a date with a nice guy, and to get more kisses and possibly more, but he couldn't do it with someone who thought he was a girl, "K-Kiyosumi-kun.... There's... there's something I need to confess...." He murmured quietly, his cheeks flushed from their kiss still and green eyes searching Sengoku's face, hoping getting hit for this wouldn't hurt too bad.
Panting slightly, Sengoku stared back at Akaya. The flush still sat on his cheeks, but his eyes slowly started to focus again as he finally found the ability to think. That doesn't sound good... Amidst the haze that still covered most of his mind from the kiss, he began trying to think of all the possibilities that his date would tell him. "What is it...?" He asked just as quietly.
"I um...." He murmured and ran his fingers over Sengoku’s chest gently, "Um....my name.....isn't Ayaka......it's um......it's Akaya.....my name is Kirihara Akaya......" He whispered quietly and looked down before looking at Sengoku through his naturally long lashes, eyes apologetic and regretful.
Uh-huh. Okay. Wait, what?! The haze completely lifted from Sengoku's mind and his eyes widened wider than even he thought was possible as he leaned back enough that he almost fell backwards. No, no, no. Just… No, this wasn't happening. No way... "K-Kirihara Akaya... Formerly Rikkaidai's Demon Ace," he muttered, his tone indecipherable.
He swallowed thickly and reached back to undo the choker, "My senpai... made me dress up like this...." He murmured and tilted his head back a bit, revealing his Adams apple, "I--I'm really sorry...." He murmured. He wanted to pull his legs up to his chest, but he knew that would prove his point a little too well to Sengoku, "Y-you're really nice... and I didn't want to lie to you anymore...."
He couldn't find the words to express what he felt. Hell, he didn't even know what he felt. He knew he wanted to hit something, but he couldn't. He wasn't violent. Instead, he simply pulled himself to his feet, gave a slight nod of acknowledgement out of politeness before turning away from him and walking away without another word.
Akaya looked down at the food then got up and ran after Sengoku, not wanting to end things like that, "Hey.... look, I'm sorry alright...? I didn't want to do this...." He said quietly, voice laden with regret, "I didn't lie to you about anything but my name... You liked me as Ayaka...so why's Akaya any different?"
Do you really have to ask that? was what he wanted to almost snap, but he didn't, biting down on his tongue instead of saying anything. The tone was almost enough to make Sengoku turn around and forgive him. Almost, but not quite. "Just leave me alone," he muttered, not bothering to even look back at him.
"No," If he really was a girl he would have backed off, let him deal with his man emotions on his own, but he wasn't. He was a man and he could take responsibility for his actions, "Look, if you're that mad at me, hit me... it's alright, I wouldn't blame you and I wouldn't hit you back."
"I'm not Akutsu-kun," he muttered, glancing back at him briefly before walking again. "I don't hit other people. No matter what."
Sighing quietly Akaya grabbed Sengoku’s arm and dragged him into a somewhat secluded area between two buildings, "Then what...? Look, yeah okay, I'm not a girl, big deal.....but ya know what? I kinda like you, okay? You're nice--and you're a good kisser--and you play tennis---......look, Kiyosumi-kun....I'm a man, but I'm not any different because of that......you're scared of gay guys, aren't you?" He murmured the last part quietly, putting two and two together then just staring at Sengoku for a long moment. Man, he was going to kill his senpai for this later....
Sengoku couldn't help but give a light sigh, looking away from Akaya. "I'm not scared of gay guys, Kirihara-kun," he explained calmly. "I can't be when one of my best friends is gay. I'm just... not comfortable with the idea."
"Why not?" He asked gently, not at all accusing or upset, "What about it makes you uncomfortable?" See, who said he couldn't be grown up and a good man when he needed to be?! He was mature, damn it!
"I'm not having this conversation," he said bluntly, moving to walk away from him again. Not after that..
He grabbed his arm again and was suddenly very glad for his 181 cm's of muscle, "Don't be all closed up like that or you're just going to hurt yourself more.....like I said before...it's hard to be a straight guy here......I should know, alright? I wasn't always bi, so I know it's not exactly what you're going through, but.....I can help if you'll let me....and if you want I'll never talk to you ever again or mention this or anything......alright?"
It wasn't that he didn't want to talk about it at all. He just wanted some time to himself to actually think about it before he tried to talk about it with anyone else. What point was there in talking about something where he had no idea how he felt?
"Look, you can talk to me whenever alright?" He said with a sigh and ran his hand through his hair, it felt so weird straight.... "I'll uh....I'll see you around.....and um...thanks--for today.....I've never been on a date that nice before...." He was sooo going to go take this damn dress off, his junk was starting to get cold... though maybe he'd go freak out An-chan first if he could find her...Turning, he started back toward the trees, his hips swaying a little unconsciously.
He watched him go quietly before sighing and leaning back against the nearest building. Maybe he shouldn't have signed up for this blind date thing. He sighed again and lifted a hand, brushing a finger over his lips. Then again...
