Comments: This is the beginning of  the "Cheering up Shishido" series.  There will probably be more....

Shishido was lurking (he's too proud to say sulking) in a corner of the camp.  He was still a bit out of it, and he didn't want anyone seeing him.  So he was hiding in the out of the way corner of camp.

When there's someone who feels down, there's someone who feels up, and Saeki Koujiro was in an exeptionally up-beat mood. He smiled widely to the people who passed him, and when he passed a corner where Shishido was sulking, his happy steps came to a halt. His sad-person-radar picked up strong vibes.

Shishido continued to mope in his corner, unaware of the happy person approaching.

Nice person that he was, Saeki couldn't leave the sad person alone, so he sat down next to him.

Seeing Saeki sit down nest to him, Shishido shuffled away to the other side of his corner.

"Go away." He said grumpily.

"No," the silver-haired boy said simply.

Shishido glared.

"Go away!" He tried again, more emphatically.

"No."

Shishido made to get up and find another corner.  Stalking off, he found another nice, small corner and settled into it, once again being gloomy and unhappy.

Did someone actually just think Saeki let the gloomy boy be? Nope, he followed, this time crouching in front of him. "Just ignore me."

Annoyedly looking up at the annoyingly genki boy, Shishido growled at his and got up to stalk off in search of a genki-person-free corner.

Saeki got up to walk beside the other. "You're Shishi-kun, aren't you?"

Growling unhappily, Shishido began running, trying to get rid of the annoying person following him around and being happy.

"Love you too!" Saeki called after the escaping boy and pouted unhappily. Didn't the other know that moods were contagious?

TIMESKIP: DINNER

Shishido, having had a sufficient amount of time to sulk, was in the cafeteria, in line to get his food.

Once he'd gotten his food, he head over to an unoccupied table and sat down, hoping that no one would come bother him and he'd be able to eat his food in peace and leave to finish his homework.

Saeki came in, got himself an apple, and was just about to turn his attention to dinner when his unhappy-person-radar chimed again and his eyes caught a small movement in an almost empty table. "Shishi-chan~" he whispered to himself and skipped from the line to go to the person he'd met briefly that morning. "Don't you look like a happy camper," he said, then added. "Just ignore me again."

Growling, Shishido annoyedly shuffled away from the too-happy person, trying to eat as fast as he could so that he could get rid of him faster.

Saeki munched on his apple and watched the other eat. He frowned a little, but smiled if Shishido happened to give him a glance. "There," he said suddenly taking his handkerchief and offering it to the guy. "You've got some on your cheek. You shouldn't bend so low when you eat, you get it all over you."

Using the napkin he'd grabbed to wipe his cheek, Shishido continued to ignore the annoying genki person.

"That's better," Saeki pulled his hand back and pocketed the unused handkerchief. "You should show your pretty face to the world, you know. He's not the only one."

Stopping in his ignoring of Saeki for a moment, he glared fiercely, then resumed ignoring him.

"...I didn't hear protests," Saeki noted shuffling closer to the guy, completely ignoring his personal space. "I was right, wasn't I? It's a he! That's kinda cool~"

Edging away from the genki person, Shishido continued to ignore him, although it was proving to be a futile effort.

"I still don't get it. How could someone dump a cute guy like you?" Munch, munch. Saeki pried a piece of apple from inbetween his teeth with his tong and continued. "But I guess it's all about chemistry."

Giving up on his attempt to ignore the annoying Genki person, he growled.

"Shut up!" He said fiercely, picking up his tray and moving to the other side of the room, sitting at a different, but unoccupied, table.

"I guess he doesn't love me after all..." Saeki sighed dramatically, then hid a cynical little look into a devilish smile and stalked after Shishido. "I thought I told you to ignore me. I tend to talk a lot when I get started, and I figured I was bothering you."

Growling, Shishido continued to eat, trying to ignore the happy person as well as he could.  Finally finishing, he got up and left the cafeteria, heading to his room to do homework.

Saeki followed, of course, grabbing a new apple on his way. Unhappy people were such a bother, they didn't even take teasing right!

"I'm Saeki, by the way."

Turing to stare at this guy for his persistence, Shishido wondered exactly why he was being so persistent.

"Why the hell are you bugging me?  I didn't do anything to you!"

"Your lips are quirked down. It's bothering me." Saeki thought explaining might clear the situation. "Now don't go forcing a smile for me or anything. Just cheer up already."

Staring at the strange answer, Shishido scowled and continued on his way.  Hoping to finish his homework and visit the Hot springs before going to bed.

"Be careful! That scowl might stick to your face!" Saeki called after the guy, having stopped when they reached his floor. It was probably no use following him around more today. He'd try again tomorrow. "Shishi-chan, you're my new mission," the silver-haired boy said to himself and smiled, watching Shishido disappear up the stairs.
