Who: Momoshiro Takeshi, Echizen Ryoma and Fuji Syusuke
What: Seigaku boys hanging out.
Where: Walking around town and McDonalds
Rating: PG

The young boy noticed a familiar figure doing something other the other, but he decided that whatever it was his old friend was doing it wasn't important. Not as important as... "Food. I'm hungry. Come on!"

Momoshiro rolled over on the ground from where he was doing sit ups. After all, when one ate as much as he did, he had to exercise constantly to keep in good shape. Mention of more food quickly put exercise out of his head. "Food what?" oh, it was Echizen. "Wait a second, will you, seriously always in a hurry," Momoshiro hauled himself up and rubbed the back of his neck, standing next to the junior.

"So what, I'm hungry." Ryoma shrugged and nodded towards the exit of the campus. "I want burgers. You think we should find someone who could buy for us?" He looked innocently up at the short haired boy.

"Eh? Wouldn't it be easier to just get them from the cafeteria, that way nobody has to pay for them," but that made sense. Sometimes it was better to go with the least sensible plan. Much more exciting that way. "I'm down for whatever," he shrugged with a carefree grin.

"I wanna leave campus," Ryoma replied, making a small face. "I don't like Waku ogling at me whenever he gets the chance." He pulled the cap down over his eyes and started towards the exit, suddenly spotting another of his former senpai sitting underneath a tree, obviously reading a book. "Hey, we could ask him for money~"

"Dude, tell him off, seriously," Momoshiro crossed his arms behind his head. "Can't let one guy get to you like that, and he probably wouldn't respect you if someone else did it," Echizen would have to figure out a way to scare the guy off. Momoshiro would back him up, but he coudl only really help if help was asked for. He had no issue with leaving campus.

"Fuji-senpai?" Momoshiro shrugged. "Sure, no problem." Calling out, he waved to his senpai, "Oi! Fuji-senpai!"

"Yeah, I know, and I wanna pound some fucking sense into him, but..." Ryoma shrugged and tipped his cap upwards in a greeting to the golden haired genius. "Yo."

Fuji - who had been trying to work his way through the French edition of The Little Prince, looked up and smiled. "Ah, Momo, Echizen. What can I do for you?"

"Food."

Blink. "Uhm... Excuse me?"

Ryoma turned to Momo and tugged at his sleeve. "You tell him."

"Challenge him to a tennis duel or something," Momoshiro shrugged. A battleground they were both familiar with.

"Wanna join us for burgers, Fuji-senpai?" Momoshiro offered. "See the uncultivated world out of campus for a few hours?"

"I guess," Ryoma shrugged, then looked expectantly at the tensai. "It'll be fun?"

Fuji thought for a moment. Knowing his kohai, they'd probably end up freeloading off him, but he couldn't say he minded it exactly as it had been a while since they hung out like that. "Why not," he replied, getting to his feet and dusting the grass off his behind. "I'm guessing I'm buying?"

Momoshiro pulled a pout with watery eyes that was not cute in the least. "If you don't, Echizen and I might starve," he looped an arm around his shorter kouhai, a cue. "It would be a lot of work to bury us, yes it would," he looked as morose as possible.

Ryoma sighed as he had forgotten just how moroning Momo could be at times, and he looked like such a dope. "Why are you pulling me into this," he muttered under his breath.

Fuji blinked for a moment, then put his lightly closed fist to his mouth to hide a chuckle. "I see~ Well, I wouldn't want to do that, now would I? Shall we?"

Momoshiro didn't see a reason why he shouldn't be goofy around two people he considered friends. After all, friends were supposed to help entertain each other. Echizen and Fuji seemed just a little too morose lately, in Momo's opinion. "Because I know you'd be really upset if Fuji-senpai didn't come. Lucky," Momoshiro grinned, "For us he's persuadable. Lucky, lucky."

It really was refreshing to get off campus and be in the company of familiar faces.

"There's a McDonalds pretty close, can't be more than a kilometer or two."

"Riiiight..." Ryoma muttered, glancing up at the tensai before pulling his cap down over his eyes again. Well, this did feel good, but he wasn't about to admit to that anytime soon. That was just lame and girly and wrong.

"Oh, I'd do anything for you, I'm sure," Fuji chuckled, winking playfully at Momo. "But of course... You could consider this a lone, if you want to. You don't have to pay me back in cash though. There are... Other ways."

Momoshiro snorted at Echizen's behavior and retracted his arm. If Echizen was going to be all awkward about it, he wasn't going to go on harrassing the kid. He was just being amiable.

"Other ways work too," Momoshiro grinned, completely oblivous to how ominous Fuji sounded right here. "I'm not a particular guy, unlike chibi over there," he teased.

"'m not chibi," Ryoma muttered, after giving Fuji an uncomfortable glance. Well, whatever, as long as Momo was the one paying him back and not him. Freaky senpai still was freaky it seemed.

"I'm sure I'll figure something out," Fuji beamed, pulling his Hello Kitty! bag off his shoulders to stuff his book into its bowles. Nope, not symbolic in the least. "How've you been?"

Momoshiro nearly snorted at the sight of that girly bag, then thought better of it. "Course not," he gave the junior a noogie. "We'll just have them put some extra veggies on your burger and problem solved," after all, lettuce made you grow big and strong, right?

"Pretty good, I've just been taking it easy. What about you?"

Veggies were better than milk. Really, if Momo had suggested milk, then he would have stomped on his foot. Or something equally mature. "I've been fine too, senpai. Which you know. You talked about me with Dan, didn't you?"

"Oh, he told you?" Fuji blinked innocently. "Well, it all worked out for the best, didn't it?" Well, except for poor Sakuno-chan, but Fuji wasn't about to bring that up in front of Echizen. Instead he turned to Momo and beamed. "I'm glad school's started again~ Everyone's back! ♥"

Momoshiro watched them interact with amusement; he tended to be a bit out of the loop simply because he never paid much attention. He was usually more concerned with burgers, sleeping and video games to listen to gossip.

"Yeah, things will get pretty hectic soon, I bet," he found it a little creepy that Fuji somehow managed to speak with hearts.

"Too many people. Too loud," Ryoma complained, making a face. And then there was Waku in the middle of everything. Maybe he could just aim a ball at the guy's crotch and have the problem solved once and for all? He mused over that thought with a pleased smile on his lips.

"Yes." Fuji stretched out a hand and picked a ginko leaf from a tree they passed. He twirled the small, fan shaped leaf between his fingers and then looked coyly up at Momo. "I heard you were dating as well?"

"Our little hermit," Momoshiro teased, prodding Echizen on the shoulder as he swaggered about beside them good naturedly. "Yeah," he grinned. "I'm kind of old news though. What did you guys do over break and stuff?"

As Echizen didn't look up, nor replied, Fuji took this as a cue to continue talking. "Well... I played tennis." Of course. He even invented a new move, but he wasn't about to tell the others that, not right now. "And... was on vacation." He smiled sweetly at Momo. "Now it's your turn."

The tennis was kind of a duh, but Momoshiro was glad that Fuji made some time to relax. "Eh, I had a pretty boring break. I looked after Mars for Hiyo though, that was pretty cool," it had been fun hanging out with the rather large lizard. They were brothers at heart that liked to lay down and sleep. "Did a few books of Sudoku, nothing too special," he went on a few dates with Hiyoshi too, but that wasn't really information Fuji or Echizen wanted.

"Mars?" Ryoma looked up. "Whuzzat?"

Fuji didn't know Momo was into sudoku, and doing a few books of it, wasn't that pretty impressive? "I think it is something special," he informed his kohai quietly.

"Hiyoshi's lizard," Momoshiro replied. "He's pretty fun and a good listener to boot," then again, lizards weren't in the habit of saying much anyway. Momo could probably make conversation with anything that stayed still long enough.

"It's nothing really," Momoshiro waved off the compliment. "I like math. It's not complicated and it's the same wherever you go."

"I for one can't wrap my head around it," Fuji admitted. "The easier ones, sure, but not the more advanced ones."

"A lizard?" That sounded a lot more interesting than some boring old sudoku if you asked Ryoma. "A real one?"

"You just gotta look at it from different angles and be patient with it," Momoshiro couldn't really say more than that. He mostly went on instinct, so he wasn't too sure of how to explain how he went about it.

Momoshiro laughed, "If it was a stuffed one I wouldn't have had to look after it," he teased. "As him nicely and I'm sure he'll show you. Hiyoshi had a real fondness for Mars," it was understandable. Mars was an awesome lizard.

"I don't even know him," Ryoma muttered. And besides, he doubted he was on Hiyoshi's favorite list. But it would have been fun to see a real life lizard...

Fuji nodded, but wasn't any the wiser because of that rather vague explanation. Well, that just meant he had to work a bit on his research, didn't it? "Ah, there's McDonalds~"

"It's a camp, isn't the point of it sort of to get to know each other?" Momoshiro said. "Just ask, who knows, you might make a new friend. You have nothing to lose," Momoshiro actually felt Echizen and Hiyoshi were similar in ways. If they didn't irritate the hell out of each other, they would get along.

"Cool," Momoshiro opened the door for his company.

"Guess... But he's dating you, right?" Ryoma smirked. "He can't be sane. Not sure I want a friend like that~"

"Now, now," Fuji chided, stepping in after Echizen and watch with amusement how the boy hurried over to the counter. Luckily there were only a handful people ahead of them in the line.

"Oi, I'm not that bad, I'm not," Momoshiro pulled a face and shoved at Echizen playfully. He knew it was all in good fun and took no offense to the boy's words. Momo was a very, very difficult person to offend.

"What are you getting, Fuji-senpai?" he wondered what Fuji would order in such a place.

Fuji threw a glance at Echizen who almost bounced on the spot, and then looked thoughtfully on the menu. "Fries and some chicken nuggets, I think. And you?" Well, that was a stupid question, but...

"Burgers!" Momoshiro declared. He ordered three, going easy on Fuji's wallet. It wasn't nice to abuse a senpai's good will like that, after all. Then you would never get treated again. He couldn't really imagine Fuji eating a burger, so he wasn't too surprised at the order.

Fuji placed his order as well, trying his best not to fall over as Ryoma ordered one jumbo burger, two smaller ones, one double burger and the biggest box of fries that they had. Oh... dear. He was starting to feel Eiji's pain whenever he was the one getting stuck with buying for these two. After paying his wallet felt considerably lighter, and he wondered if he had to phone home to ask for some extra cash soon... But that didn't matter.

"Let's go," Ryoma muttered from somewhere behind his mountain of burgers as he made his way through the crowd. "We gotta sit somewhere."

Momo's eyes widened about the amount of food Echizen ordered on Fuji's dollar -- well, the chibi was pretty unsympathetic. "You're sharing," Momoshiro nudged the kid, teasing and giving Fuji a wink as they headed to a booth.

"Why," said chibi complained and sat down, mutely placing one of the smaller burgers in front of Momo while the other landed in front of Fuji. He glared at the blonde senpai underneath his bangs. "You need to eat more. You're totally skinny."

Well, how adorable of him to point that out. Fuji was half a mind to throw a fry at him but refrained from that as that would be awfully childish, and instead made himself comfortable. "What do you guys think about school starting up again? Are you going to join the Pro Selections?"

Momoshiro grinned and patted Echizen on the shoulder; it was good for him to learn how to share the wealth sometimes. "Yeah, you should join the eating contest, Fuji-senpai."

"I think you guys should go for it," Momoshiro encouraged. He wouldn't fool himself into thinking pro tennis was a viable option for him. Fuji and Echizen were definitely good enough though, if they wanted.

"I'm entering," Ryoma said calmly, starting on his biggest burger, finishing half of it in two bites. "I figured, why not? I still haven't beaten the person I want to beat, so I'm sticking with tennis for now."

"I won't," Fuji said, nibbling on his fry. "I just don't think I want to dedicate myself fully to tennis like that. Not right now at least."

"You'll do great," Momoshiro smiled at Echizen. He would support his friend in any way he could in the circuit.

"That's cool," he commented to Fuji. "Do you know what you're interested in?"

"Probably," Ryoma shrugged, sending a crooked grin in Momo's general direction.

"Photography." He picked up a chicken nugget with his fingers and dipped it into the dipping sauce. "Of course." He smiled. "A lot of naughty photographs of sweaty tennis boys perhaps."

"I'll come and watch your games and stuff, when they aren't ridiculously far away," Momoshiro promised. If it was in his power to get there, he would try his best.

"Eeeew, Fuji-senpai," Momoshiro laughed a bit nervously, hoping the tensai was kidding. "Stick to cool things, like trees and wind."

After giving Fuji a rather disgusted look Ryoma nodded gratefully towards Momo. "Good."

Fuji merely laughed, popping yet another chicken nugget into his mouth. "I think legs are rather cool though~"

Momoshiro couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "I think legs are more hot than cool," he remarked offhandedly, inhaling half of a burger.

"Point, I suppose," Fuji chuckled, taking a sip of his soda. "I think it's interesting that they hold the try outs now, at the start of the semester, when everyone tries their best to catch up on school work and such though."

"Well," Momoshiro mused, "If you're gonna be a pro at something, you have to be able to handle a lot of things going on at once. And how can you do that without practice?"

Echizen Ryoma had a lot of work ahead of him.

"I suppose," Ryoma and Fuji managed to say at the same time, which led to the two of them starting at each other.

Momoshiro grinned vapidly and shoved some more burger in his face. He didn't feel particularly inclined to say anything, so he didn't. Just enjoyed familiar company.

Ryoma too didn't feel all that much for talking, as having lunch together with his - all though he hated to admit it - beloved senpai was good enough.

Fuji didn't suffer from this problem however, and he talked cheerfully about this and that, until he landed on one particular question. "Momo... What dreams do you have left, if you're not going pro?"

"Uh," Momoshiro chewed his burger and swallowed. "I'm not sure just yet, Fuji-senpai. There are a few things that sound pretty cool, but I dunno if I'm smart enough, I just don't know," he smiled his usual idiotic smile that put people at ease. "I mean, we can't all be geniuses, tennis geniuses or otherwise," he nudged Echizen playfully.

"Hey, I'm cool," Ryoma muttered between bites, nudging Momo right back.

Fuji wasn't fooled by the smile; he was a master of forced smiles himself after all, and he leaned forward, cerulean eyes locking onto Momo's purple ones. "You don't have to be smart, or be genius to have dreams, Momo. I'm not asking how well you will preform in whatever you do... I'm asking what you want to do. There's a difference."

"I dunno, you look kind of greasy to me," Momoshiro teased, flicking a fry at the junior. They were at a fast food joint, therefore they all looked kind of greasy.

Momoshiro's smile wasn't exactly fake persay. He was happy with his lot in life and the good friends he had. It would be selfish to want for more. "I'm not the type of guy to go at something halfway. So if I'm gonna go for it, it will be because I'm the best guy for the job," he shrugged. Most people thought of him a bit of a dumb jock, and he didn't feel particularly inclined to refute that accusation. It got him a lot of leeway from people. "I did make a post about it when we were talking about careers or something. My uncle is in the business of mathematical code breaking and concealment, it seems pretty cool."

Whether he would have the grades for it is another matter entirely. He was good at math, but couldn't bring himself to care about most subjects.

Fuji heard Ryoma object against the fry flicked his way, but his attention was focused on Momo. He smiled, nodding slowly to himself. "Well, that kinda sounds like that TV show... Numbers? Right? Or those Dan Brown books. It would be awesome to know someone like that in real life." He chucklesd. "Of course I wouldn't understand a thing of what you were doing, but..."

Momoshiro put on an innocent look; Echizen just looked a little short of fries. He was being a good senpai and trying to help. "Yes, exactly! Except it's not always quite so exciting. I've gone to work with him a few times. They couldn't tell me much, because most of it is secret government stuff," he winked at Fuji, "So even if I did work there I couldn't tell you so you could understand it."

"You've been pretty quiet lately, Fuji-senpai. Is anything going on?" Momoshiro was able to tell that there was something going on. As to what, he had no idea.

Fuji nodded, and noticed from the corner of his eye how Echizen stared at one of his own fries, as if contemplating whether he ought to chuck it towards Momo or not. Fuji wasn't too eager to get involved in a food fight himself, but he could always take pictures, should the younger boys really start to play with the food.

"Uhm... No, not really," he replied vaguely, looking down. "I've got some things on my mind and some other things that I should sort out, but that's all."

If it was a food fight Echizen wanted, The Super Great Momo-chan-Senpai was ready for action at anytime.

"Well..." Momoshiro said, trying to make Fuji feel less awkward about the whole thing. "If you ever want a place to chill or someone to talk to, you know where to find me," he smiled and shot Fuji a not so discrete thumbs up.

"Chill? With you?" Ryoma sneered and then flicked away the fry. "You'll probably end up giving him gray hairs, for all I know."

"Thank you, Momo." Fuji smiled warmly, then the smile turned a thought teasing as he turned to Echizen. "Now, now... That's not a very nice thing to say, Echizen."

Well, then maybe Fuji-senpai needed some extra fries as well. He flicked away another one.

Fuji quickly caught it before it had any chance to land on his clothes however, and then stuffed it into his mouth. "Thank you~ ♥"

"Maybe you should be inspected for some gray hairs then," Momoshiro waggled his fingers, a sign of impending noogie. He swiped Echizen's hat, put it on Fuji's head and proceeded to noggie the crap out of the tennis star. "I see no grays yet, better keep lookin'!"

"Oi, stop it," Ryoma objected, squirming in the grip, and giving Fuji-senpai a look that screamed 'PLEASE HELP ME'.

Fuji, on the other hand simply chuckled behind his hand, while he used the other hand to flip his cell phone open, snapping a picture of his two kohai.

What's that, I hear?" Momo then proceeded to put on a mock falsetto, "Momo-senpai, please help me I think there are grays in my hair and little mini tennis ball lice attacking my brain?!"

He noogied harder. He loved giving his little buddy a hard time. Echizen would give him shit for it later, but thus was the basis of their relationship. He paid no mind to the camera and enjoyed horsing around.

Well, would you look at that. His half eaten burger. Now, if only he could get the bun away... There. Now, greasy, cheesy burger, on a one way trip towards Momo's face. Ready for take off... And it was on its way!

And eaten! Well, sort of. Most of it was smeared along the area of his mouth and he couldn't help but laugh as he almost choaked on burger. Eventually he managed to eat it, though he covered his mouth with his hand so the entire restaurant did not have to witness him chewing.

"Thanks for that," he managed to say after a few minutes, trying not to crack up.

Trust Momo-senpai to do something like that. "You totally look like an oaf," Ryoma muttered, amusement tugging at the corner of his lips. "But... You're welcome."

"If it looks like an oaf and smells like an oaf, it probably is an oaf," he put a fry down the back of Echizen's shirt. He really missed kouhai torture. It was so fun.

"HEY!" Ryoma bolted to his feet, trying to shake the greesy, salty little stick away from him. "Real classy, Momo-senpai!"

Momoshiro dissolved into snickers, oh that was just too good. "What can I say? I'm a class act, yes I am."

"You're horrible," boy wonder whined, trying his best to get the sticky salt away from his back.

"Just keepin' it classy," Momoshiro ate a fry and winked at Fuji.

Fuji giggled behind his hand and then stood up as well. "Maybe we should just go before we get thrown out, nee?"

"Don't look at me, it's Momo-senpai's fault." Cue pout.

"That might be a good idea, Echizen's making such a big ruckus we'll get kicked out soon for sure," he got up, gathered their trash and tossed it on the way out.

They were indeed getting a few stares here and there, but Ryoma couldn't care less. He had already kissed Dan in public and he lived to tell the tale, so... Even though hanging out with Momo-senpai when he was in this mood might be a thought more embarrassing. He wasn't certain.

Once they were out of the restaurant, Fuji could allow himself to sink down on a park bench and giggle loudly. "That was wonderful," he finally managed. "I must say I'm glad I came with you guys~"

So what if people stared, they could get over it. Momoshiro didn't really care what a bunch of people he never met before thought of him. He grinned at them.

"Of course! We're awesome," Momoshiro vouched, glad that they had entertained their senpai.
"Thanks for paying for us, Fuji-senpai."

"Yeah," Ryoma muttered. "Like... Even me." Because he had a small feeling he might have been a thought greedy.

"Don't mention it." Fuji smiled, getting to his feet. "I had a good time. Thank you, both of you."

Walking between them, Momoshiro threw an arm amiably about each of their shoulders. "No problem," Momo said almost sing song. "Seigaku, FIGHT-O!"

Fast food and friends always put him in a good mood.
