LOG: Kaidoh and Inui

Inui stood outside the door to Kaidoh's room. It was already really late out, but he wanted to go check out the shrine. All this commotion about ghost had him interested. Of course, he wasn't going to believe in it until he had some proof that there actually were ghosts.

He checked to make sure he had everything he needed. He had his flashlight. Check. He had his notebook. Check. He had his pen. Yet another check.  He knocked lightly on the door and waited for an answer. Hopefully, if he was lucky, Kaidoh would agree to go with him.

It was late. Kaidoh had come back form his evening run about a half of an hour earlier and he was perfectly fine with just going straight to bed. Instead, he took a quick shower. When he came out he heard a knock at the door. Hopefully it wouldn't be that Tooyama kid again... "Fushuuuu... What do you want?" He asked as he opened the door and wrung out his hair.

Inui pushed up his glasses as the door opened. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." Inui said.  "I was wondering if you'd like to do something."

Kaidoh looked up and realized it was only Inui. "N-no, I'm not doing anything." In a much more polite tone than the first time, he added, "what is it, Inui-senpai."

Inui held up his flash light with a smile. "That's good. I was wondering if you're like to go investigate the shrines with me. This seems like the perfect time to do so.  I'd like to see if there's any truth to these ghost sightings we all keep hearing about." He explained.

At shrines and ghost Kaidoh paled. He really didn't want to go but since Inui-senpai asked him he really had no choice... This could also show Momo that he wasn't afraid. "I'll come with..."

"Are you sure?" Inui asked. "You don't have to come along if you don't want to. Though, some company wound be nice."

Kaidoh nodded, he had enough reasons to go.

"Then we should get going. It's late already and we don't want to be out all night. With any luck there won't even be anything out there." He moved from the doorway and waited patiently for Kaidoh to get

Kaidoh put his hair towel away, exited the room and locked the door. "Okay... let's go..." before I change my mind.

Inui nodded and they made they're way down the hall and down the flights of stairs and then outside.  Inui switched on the flashlight once they were out. It was actually really dark out. "Hm...maybe I should have brought two of these he said aloud as they walked.

Kaidoh followed closely behind Inui. Now he thinks of that... He mentally sighed. The younger boy regretted not bringing a flashlight also. Soon they approached the stairs. He looked up at them and shuddered, not walking up until Inui-senpai did.

Inui started walking up the stairs, keeping to flashlight facing ahead of them just in case anything tried to take them by surprise. The walk up the stairs was a relatively quiet one and each step up left Inui with the slight feeling that maybe they shouldn't be out there. He ignored it. If he turned back now, he wouldn't get what he came for. As they reached the final steps, the wind decided to pick up a bit. That was strange.

Kaidoh shivered. The sudden wind was not a welcomed thing. He had heard that wind has something to do with ghosts. Biting his tongue to keep from whimpering he quickly moved to walk directly behind Inui. He felt as if he was being followed... but ignored it, for the most part.

Inui looked around for a moment making sure that no one was following them. When he was certain no one was there he looked at Kaidoh. "We should stay close together just in case some thing does happen." He turned the flashlight towards some trees when he thought he saw something move.

Kaidoh nodded and stood as close as he could to Inui. Looking out from behind him he saw the movement and was just about ready to faint with fright. He stood there, frozen, until something happened.

"Kaidoh...the worst thing we can do right now is panic." He said.  H swung the flash light in another direction when he heard something. A moment later the light on the flashlight went out. Inui flicked the switch a few times. Nothing. Odd, the batteries shouldn’t be dead. They were new. "Hm...This isn't good."

Kaidoh wasn't about to panic, nope, not him. Then the flashlight went out. There was no reason for the light to go out... Now he started to panic. He grabbed onto Inui's shirt and closed his eyes, praying that the light would come back on.

Inui felt the hand on his shirt and stopped focusing on the non-working flashlight and turned his attention to Kaidoh. "Kaidoh don't panic. The flashlight going out is just a minor occurrence. I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for it." He tried to explain through the darkness of the night.

Kaidoh knew that Inui was only trying to be helpful but the fact that he couldn't see his senpai as he talked made the other's deep voice down right scary. "Not... panicking..." The younger teen managed to say in a half-mumble. When he tried to get a look at Inui he wound up seeing a misty white figure pass uncomfortably close in front of them. "I--I--Inu---sen---pai..." He tried to ask if he was just seeing things.

"I...see it Kaidoh...."Inui said, still not quite believing that he was actually seeing it. He watched as the figure passed in front of them. He wished he'd brought a camera with him. He'd probably never see something like this again. He reached for Kaidoh making sure he was still close by.

Kaidoh flinched as Inui reached for him and he screamed, not a very loud scream but a scream none the less. He clenched Inui's shirt harder, possibly scratching him.

Inui winced slightly. "Kaidoh calm down it's only me."He squeezed the other's shoulder gently. "I think I've seen what I came to see anyway. We should head back before some stranger things happen." He rubbed Kaidoh's shoulder trying to calm him down.

Kaidoh hissed in relief at Inui's words and actions. He did feel stupid, though. Loosening his grip on the taller boy's shirt and back Kaidoh nodded. Then said 'yes' once he realized he couldn't be seen. Still frightened, the easily scareable teen stood stiff waiting for Inui-senpai to lead him out and save him.

To the best of his abilities, Inui managed to get them back to the stairs. Now here was the hard part. Going down the stairs would prove difficult in the dark. It could be dangerous if either one of them missed a step and lost balance. "Here's where we need to be really careful." Inui started. "We don't want either one of us getting injured."

Kaidoh nodded and gulped. Taking a cautious step he made it down one then pressed his heel to the front of the step so he knew he wasn't on the edge. It was a slow but effective method. "Inui-senpai... try feeling the back of the stair with your heel... Then you shouldn't fall..."

Inui nodded then remembered that the other male couldn't see him. "Thank you for that piece of information Kaidoh." He took a slow step down the stairs.

"...You're welcome, Inui-senpai." Kaidoh replied as he kept going. At one point, about midway down, he faltered and had to grab Inui's hand to steady him self. Luckily he didn't fall.

Inui tightened his hold on Kaidoh when the other nearly fell. "Be careful, that was a bit close." He said. and kept going down. He let out a small sigh of relief when they finally reached the bottom the steps. It was only then that he decided to let go of Kaidoh.

Kaidoh blushed when Inui let go of his hand. He wasn't expecting it to go that way. Nervously he said, "Thank you... Inui-senpai... for helping me get down..." He paused to try and calm down. "Did you gather the data?"

"It's no problem at all Kaidoh." He fumbled around a bit with the still no-working flashlight. "I don't think I got as much as I wanted. But I saw enough to not want to go back up there for a while."

Kaidoh was getting impatient and more frightened by the second. "Can we go back to our rooms now...?"

Inui nodded. "I was thinking the exact same thing." The walk back to their rooms was fairly quiet. Inui thought quietly to himself about what he'd just seen. He 'd never really thought about ghost actually existing until coming to this camp. As they reached their rooms, Inui paused at the door. "I apologize for taking you up there."

"It's... okay, senpai..." Kaidoh lied. His hand hovered above his doorknob then he looked at the megane in front of him. "Inui-senpai... Can I... stay with you tonight?" He had plenty of reasons why he should be able to: One, he was scared witless and two, Shinji's possible sleep talking would give him a near heart attack. He was too freaked out and tired to actually say that, though.

"I don't mind." He answered. "You're welcome any time Kaidoh." He adjusted his glasses.

Kaidoh nodded and entered Inui's room. He couldn't just go sleep with Yuuta so he stood at the foot of Inui's bed, as if, asking permission to sleep on it.

Inui gave a slight smile. "Go ahead. I don't mind sharing." He moved to find his pajamas. "This wouldn't be the first time we've shared a bed anyway." He commented remembering when he'd first arrived at camp.

Kaidoh didn't need to worry about pajamas. He went out in his. His senpai's comment made him blush for some reason. The younger boy tried to hide it as he got into the bed and situated himself near the side, just far enough in so he wouldn't fall out.

Inui found his pajamas and changed out of his clothes. No more Midnight ghost hunting for him. Once he was in his pajamas, he climbed in next to Kaidoh.  He moved a bit trying to make himself comfortable.

Kaidoh tried to keep his distance from his senpai but that wasn't working. Besides, he was still pretty shaken up about the whole situation so he gave up and let his body touch Inui's slightly for comfort. It felt nice and Kaidoh was relaxed enough to sleep now. "Good night, Inui-senpai."

Inui managed to find a comfortable position beside the other. "Good night Kaidoh. Try to get some sleep or we'll both probably be too tired for class tomorrow." He yawned.

Kaidoh made a sound of muffled agreement as he fell asleep.
