Shishido stared at Akaya's last comment for a moment before turning around slowly, wondering what the younger boy could want to show him. He blinked when he saw his boyfriend, raising an eyebrow.
Akaya kneeled before Shishido, his hands shaking a little as he held up the box with the little titanium ring. It was a simple ring since he knew his boyfriend would get mad at him if it was too flashy but it was still nice. He was nervous to say the least, especially after his boyfriend’s response to the invitation, "Ryou.....I know it's a bit late...but.......will you marry me?"
Shishido's eyes, after a moment, fixed on the ring and he stared, slowly sinking into shock. Akaya... had asked him to marry him? Did he mean it? Or was he just doing it because Marui or someone had told him to?
"Akaya?" He asked, hesitantly, still staring at the ring, "Do you... is this real?"
He flushed and shook a little more, "Yes," he said quietly and looked down at the floor, "I mean, I understand if you don't want to....I mean...we're both guys....and we're young......but......I mean......I wanted to ask anyway....." he rambled.
Noticing the shaking, Shishido looked up at the younger boy's face, leaning forward slightly to kiss him, "I... don't know," He said after he'd pulled away, looking back at the ring, his voice unsure. Some part of him wanted to say yes, but, as Akaya had said, they were a bit young to get married...
He relaxed and kissed Shishido again slowly, "Then....think about it okay....? I'll wait as long as you want me to....." He smiled and set the ring on the desk.
"Thanks," Shishido said, looking at the innocent looking ring lying on his desk. It was sort of strange that such a small thing could mean so much. He looked back at Akaya with a small smile, "I'll think about it."
With a big smile he straddled his boyfriend and kissed him firmly, "I love you, Ryou," he said happily and hugged the other boy around the neck before burying his face against Shishido’s neck.
"...I love you too," Shishido said after a slight pause, running a hand through Akaya's hair gently. He did love his boyfriend, he just wasn't sure about marrying the younger boy.
"Hey, can we go play tennis?" He asked curiously and sat back to look at his boyfriend with all the innocence of a 5 year old, like he hadn't just asked the man he was straddling to marry him.
Well that was random. Shishido blinked and nodded after a moment, "I guess we can... why?"
"Cause.....before we started dating you would never play with me....and well.....I just really want to play," He mumbled quietly and tightened his hold on Shishido a bit.
"That's because you can beat me easily in singles," Shishido answered, rolling his eyes, "But I guess if you want to play we can play," he continued, smiling.
"I'll go easy on you," He smirked smugly, teasingly, "Don't worry, I won't beat you too bad."
Shishido tapped the younger boy on the head lightly, "You better not," he said, grinning slightly and pushing Akaya off his lap, "Grab your tennis stuff and we'll go down to the courts."
He laughed and grabbed his tennis bag along with Shishido’s. Slinging them both over his shoulder he looked to his boyfriend, "Let's go!"
Shishido got up to follow Akaya, glancing at the ring briefly before leaving it on the desk and following the younger boy in the direction of the tennis courts. A game might be nice, even if he would loose at the end.
