life is really great right now.
this weekend is the first real time that i've had to soak up home and i'm liking not being in the house 24/7.
work is hectic. tomorrow i'm meant to be left to my own devices in getting the job done and i'm not sure if i'm ready. i spent all of last week with the guy who i will be replacing but he had the advantage of having worked there for 11 months, knowing everyone and knowing the buildings (all three) back to front.
on friday i learnt, well, that i hate fridays. that shit is ridiculous. by 3pm i was wrestling with deadlines and running around to executives to execute 21 million pound transactions. that's a lot of responsibility for the new guy. i'm enjoying it all the same and the people in the accounts department are really nice. i'm not sure what i'll do during lunchtimes now that laurenetta has gone but oh well.
it's so fucking humid right now... i've never experienced this weather in england before. it's like fucking florida and we even had a thunderstorm earlier.
anyway, for the majority of last week i wasn't sure how my summer was going to pan out free time wise but it's looking up. next weekend i go to visit elle in london and i can't fucking wait. what i'm not looking forward to are the outrageous alcohol prices, oh, and maybe the heat. i'll survive.
on 27th of july til the 3rd of august i go to paris with ciaran, adam, alex, and nell. the same group of us (minus nell) went to london last summer and had an amazing time. we've booked an apartment right in the centre. woot.
so that's about it. i'm enjoying home and i just feel like a better person in general. this summer will be amazing. hope that you are all ok.
