I swear. This is the first time I have seen this phenomenon in action.
Now. I roleplay on Gaia in the breedables forum [a subforum of the minishops]. A lot of the shops there require RP and actually do have good standards, so there's some nice rp to be found there. :B However, I happened to glance into a pokemon shop I frequent.** And what do I find there but this little gem:
A quietly curious bay is uttered from the chrome-fleeced mareep, Noel; crimson ornament bouncing as white limbs carry him a bit closer to Gallop. Though really, he stays back, as would one as flammable next to a flaming horse.
The horse then rears back and greets the mareep [sheep-thing]. >.>
Emerald eyes a-shimmer as they widen, the overly-celebrated ball of fluff plops into a misshapen blob, a rather undignified (and quite irrelevant) ducking of the flailing equine limbs. "MarEE!" (Calm Down, please!)
Overly-celebrated? WTF is that supposed to mean? Are the other pokemon, like, prancing around it in glee near-constantly or something?
At first I didn't realize how thesaurus abusive it was, since I've never really seen anyone doing that. Oh what a wonderfully sheltered RP!life I've led. :D Once I realized what it said though, I experienced an interesting sort of braindeath. It's RELAXED ROLEPLAY. Even for a thesaurus raper, why go to the trouble for a bunch of 1-2 line roleplay? o_O Please tell me they don't actually store this crap in memory.
*Yes, this probably could be posted in the brps community, but they probably get more than enough posts complaining about thesaurus abusers. :B
**D: Yes, I'm a big dork who likes pokemon still. Some of them are cute.
