Kitty!!!
So, my birthday is coming up! And last year, my girlfriend got me an awesome costume that I still love and wear the jacket for all the time. Yay, Naruto!
THIS year! She got me a kitty!! He is an orange tabby and SO adorable! When we picked him up yesterday, he was a little sickly, there was something wrong with his eyes. But we took him to the vet for a check up and we got him eye drops and he looks a thousand times better now! I'm so happy about that! I was worried for him, and trying not to love him too much yet... But now! Ah!
Even though he tried to keep me up all night from his CONSTANT MEOWING!! We have him locked in the bathroom for now while no one is supervising. Because we don't want him going to the potty somewhere we can't see. He's not quite litter trained. He had an accident on the bathroom floor, and I had to teach him how to use the litter. For now, I think he gets that he goes in the litter. But I don't know if he'll go to it when the whole apartment is available to him! As just now, he was trying to find a spot behind the chair to go at. So I took him to his litter. Which, is just a small kitty box, and I don't think big enough at all! He tries to cover it, but he ends up scratching at the rim and then leaves it uncovered, lol.
At least that's better than the first time he used it.... where he SAT in it. Ugh. Poopy butt!
You have no idea how amazing it is that I am actually cleaning it up. And not... running away. Seriously.
As for food, he's getting the hang out of eating from a spoon. Not quite the bowl. He's only 6 weeks old! We rescued him from my friend's Aunt's house. She has stray cats in her garage. So, really, I didn't want to leave him there longer to get even more sick and unhealthy and I don't know! I was worried. And anxious! And he's so adorable!
Anyhow, his name is Kyuubi. And he is the same color as my hair. Hah! Can you see? I dyed it blonde for Acen next weekend. I'm worried I dyed it TOO soon, but I expected to have to bleach it AGAIN.. But I might not have to... Though, I probably will? It IS awfully orange. And excuse my unbrushed and horrible appearance. Focus on the kitty!
So yeah! That's what I'm doing right now. Being a momma. Kyuubi is finally able to go around and explore now that his eyes are better. Under supervision! He's in love with my other cat. Zabs, for his part, is mildly curious. I think he wants to play with Kyuubi, but the kitten is way too small and Zabs is much too giant. Seriously, I never realized before just how giant he is. He is a BIG ass cat.
And the dog! A jealous ball of fur that one. She is so upset with us for getting a new animal. She won't poo. It's goodtimes, really...
