Twenty Fourth Dinner

When I heard that so many people had gotten odd plants, I was a little worried about mine as well. Though, it isn't exactly what I would call normal, it isn't disappointing. It would have been nice to have proper onions, but the flowers are still good. I think there are enough to make a special treat with as well.

cooking, onion flowers, christmas plant

I was thinking perhaps making a light soup with it, though it's more of a lighter spring sort of dish. They are also good in salads and as toppings.

It will be a fun treat, especially since flowers and fresh vegetables seem to be rare.

I honestly can't remember the last time I had a good hearty salad.

I'm not sure what I can manage for that, fresh produce is a little difficult, and lettuce doesn't exactly keep well.
