Im in ur grad lab...
Yesterday when I dropped E off, he was like, "You comin' in tomorrow?" And I was like, "School? On a Saturday?...sure!"
'Course, then I woke up around noon. But since I'm sorta infamous for saying I'll go to school over the weekend and then not, so I figured, might as well break pattern.
And of course, he wasn't here. *sigh*
(This may sound like the downhearted statement of a hopeless crush. While my crush on E is pretty well known and easily ignored, there's a much more practical reason for the SIGH: I don't have keys to open the door or the Lab. So I needed him to be here so I could get in. Luckily, Tay was here to let me in instead.)
So I did a little messin' around, graded papers, then got down to straightening out this Powerpoint I have to give on Monday. Friday's class was a little confusing--entirely my fault--so I went in and added a bunch of slides to clarify morphology and affixation. The inflection slides also need to be fixed up, and I have to decide if I care enough about Russian morphology show a conjugation box for it, but I think I'll save that for tomorrow as Powerpoint likes to crash. (It likes to do this when I'm trying to shut off the annoying paperclip. COINCIDENCE? I think not!) Since Tay left, it's been quite quiet, just me in the Lab (though Dee is running around here somewhere, too), workin' on the Powerpoint. I figured out Custom Animations, which makes things MUCH EASIER than textboxes everywhere, and will come in handy when I get the PIE talk.
I have six, ten things due on Thursday this week. But do them now? Ha! Ha, I say! I also have laundry to do, but I think I'm gonna stay and enjoy the peace of the Lab just a bit longer...
