The cat really needs to stop running out the door the minute I get home. This is twice she's done it, after many months of patiently waiting inside the door at all times. I wouldn't mind it--I used to let her outside, once upon a time, until she took to climbing way the hell up trees--except she's pretty much got none of the necessary shots, walking around with her outside is an exercise in frustration (see: climbing the hell up trees, vanishing into bushes, wandering waaaay too close to cars), and she gets a terrible case of "RAR I AM TIGER" once outside, which makes ending said excursions difficult. I half-wonder if this is some sort of kitty game for attention, except that's not entirely a judgment call I can make.
She's also taken to curling up in my lap a lot, as well as continuing her kitten pillow move. Affectionate beastie.
Anyways. Hi yall! I didn't update all weekend due to sinus pressure, which I originally just thought was me being tired until my eyeballs started to throb and it hurt to have them open or closed. Yeah, sinuses. I slept quite a bit Friday to Saturday (and had a most awesome dream in the process, which I told everyone who came within IM range of me that day), and that seemed to help, though it would occasionally show up--"Yo!"--throughout the weekend. This meant that I was quite lazy, which was nice but probably a little stupid, as I have a bunch of work to do this week. *sigh* And right now I just want to fall over, and am considering it, too, since I can do measurements and such in the morning/before class. Also the head pain threatens.
But I did manage to get things in the mail today. And, on another spiffy note, GWN gave me an awesome scarf and wallet-purse from Guatemala. The scarf is all dark colors except for the edges, which are bright orange and a lighter gold. Tay was quite complimentary of it on me, and I have a feeling I will be wearing the hell out of it, since eees so pretty! GWN rocks my world so very much.
I really should discuss my thoughts on SPN sometime, but I only seem to be able to get past the oh dean oh sam filter with something coherent every once and awhile.
And lastly, Pea, Jai and I are apparently all in for
Remix Redux V. Because we're crazy! Yaaay crazy!

XKCD dude translates Washington's second farewell address into present day vernacular. Or his best attempt at it. Fascinating.
