Little chunk o'day

I taught this morning.  Intro to Phonetics.   I can't tell you how it went, because I didn't exactly have an outline for teaching.  But they laughed a few times, and did the required "audience participation," which is a victory all its own.

I went to the lecture this afternoon.  Fascinating stuff about New Zealand and the Maori language, given to us by the whitest Maori speaker ever.  We really have no clue how that all works, but it was good stuff anyways.

I'm off to Happy Hour in a few, but I had to post first.  Post everyday, damnit!  Also, I had to check e-mail to see if anymore feedback came in.  Writer=whore, after all.

I love this song.  "Such Great Heights" is also a great offering from this album, among others, but there's something about the lyrics, the music, and the emotion here that just all came together perfectly.

You may imagine an Italian-esque MWAH! on the end of that.  It wouldn't be out of place.

Speaking of Ben Gibbard, "This Temporary Life"--once I do a lyric check--may just be my New Mexico: The Early Years theme song.  Because...wow.  Just...wow.

I'll stop blathering now.

ETA: AARGH. Cannot use HTML tags in Deepest Sender. Can NEVER remember this.

takin' it for the cv, teaching
