I'm sitting here home alone - and as I said on
Facebook, "Ten! is
home alone. Setting elaborate traps in case
Joe Pesci and
Daniel Stern decide to break in... obviously."
So many things to write about, I get lost trying to organise my thoughts and get distracted from writing.
Right, I'm home alone because
Em is at
Justin Timberlake and I didn't feel like socialising, plenty of time for that this weekend at Em's 10 year high school reunion (which is on in the afternoon, so we might make it back for
Mav's party, depends how incapable of driving we are) listening to
Gotye.
ARIA award winning, you know.
I finished
Portal, which I couldn't finish because the fan on my video card had failed, so I had to go to a
computer market and buy a new one.
But the new one was cheap as and is gold and shiny, so it's not all bad.
Not that I can see it.
Definitely a game I enjoyed, as it made me solve puzzles with Portals, so it was a totally new - and fun! - experience.
Now it's time for
Half-Life 2: Episode Two, though, where I get to shoot things!
Life is bliss.
I'm thinking maybe I should've got some
pizza though, because I'm getting a little hungry and definitely can't be bothered cooking for one
That was Wednesday and now it's Friday... a most wonderful Friday, because I have a five day weekend!!!. Though, in retrospect, I don't know why I didn't take the whole week off.
Later, I'm off to see an old friend (
Eve Gibson) release a CD. It should be great!
Last night was dinner with Em's family at Rock Salt for Keith's birthday. Regular fine dining is definitely one of the perks of dating a girl whose family has money.
Tuesday was Em and my two year anniversary - dinner at
Euro Bar And Grill and then spending quality time together alone.
Last weekend was a bit of a drunkening -
Bar on the Hill with
Rich,
Benny and
Josh on Friday to watch
Lefta Centa play what may be their final gig, while Saturday Rich and I went to Damo's birthday party at
The Cambridge before meeting up with
Scottie (etc) at
The Brewery, standing around chatting for ages. We headed to CBD Hotel for a dance - which was a great idea in theory, but it obviously wasn't the night for it, so we headed home.
Last weekend was the
Sydney Motor Show. A fantastic day, I borrowed a
digital SLR from
work and took some
fantastic shots.
