so... ORIENTATION KICKED ASSSSSSSSSS!!! freakin new orleans rules face even more as an almost college student. met some awesome kids and im psyched for the fall. went to some bar, some parties and i think my favorite part was taking the street car with like 5 guys and going down to the french quarter to see some jazz band that goes to loyola, no one was in this jazz club, the funky butt, so we were all like shit... they are going to suck. but they were wicked awesome. plus the bartender was cool and it was a great atmosphere, small, somewhat crappy with a rad band, no air conditioning, sweat and humidity, but the cold beers helped. the bars by campus are pretty sweet too. i fuckin cant wait. awesome kids and it was less than 1/3rd of my class. yahooo!! also, saturday night before orientation started on sunday, my mom and i went to the french quarter and partied together. it was a crazy bonding experience. except we were dancing and had to edge away from this freaky man who was dancing awkwardly toward us about 50 times. hahaha. the only bad thing that happened at all was that our flights were delayed and we were supposed to get home at 7pm on tuesday and we got back at 1 am. i figure it's because new orleans doesnt want me to leave. also, the other whitney-- yes there is another whitney going to loyola next year-- is freakin KICK ASSSSS!! <33 fuck, how do i survive til august 26? well... ADA will take up some time, hopefully helping out with chats will be fun and i guess just partying and dorm shopping. last friday was cindys quince, she was beautiful and i love her. so, yeah... im out. oh man wait... i forgot to talk about latoya. she is a white, black girl.. dont know how she got into school-- i kind of think she'll turn out to be a genius. but anyways... i think her real name is julie. supposedly she wasnt happy with herself and became this way 2 months ago. her mom is uber WASPy and here are some latoya-isms,

- "cigarettes got formaldyhyde in em... but i wont quit smoking cuz i's figure dat da cancer inside me funna get pissed if i stop... so i keep on smoking to keep from getting cancer."

- "i hate white people."
- "yo, last night i couldnt go to sleep so i talked to myself in spanish, not out loud cause i didnt want to wake my roommate... in ma head i just be conjugatin dem spanish words. dem spanish words make you maddd tired son."
wow. that's my entertainment for the next four years. hahahha. wish you would've met her.
