"What the bloody hell were you thinking Sirius?" James screams, in the safety of their dorm.
"I wasn't! That's the problem, that's always my problem!" Sirius yells back in retaliation. They are both breathing hard. James takes a step closer, until there's just a few feet between the two of them.
"Not only could I have lost Remus, but I could have lost you too." James is glaring, clearly trying not to scream again.
"I know." His voice is soft as James pulls him into a hug.
"I bloody hate you sometimes."
Things will be okay for now.
