Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. And the birthday of the coolest girl in the world.. rachelle gravel! <3 wish her a good one.
A northern chorus is nice to listen to before falling asleep.. so hazy and mellow, and CANADIAN! Ah! It's the kind of airy, dreamy post-rock that comes at you at all angles, with all kinds of instruments, synthesizers and colliding smooth melodies.. I can't even compare it to anything, because comparisons are just kind lame. and really, it's impossible to describe music through comparisons, because they'll never really measure up. but it's hard to resist.. so it's kind of sigur ros meets explosions in the sky meets Godspeed You! Black Emperor... except completely different. Comparisons fail me once again.. Anyway, you should just go listen to it yourself. Buy their new album, or even spirit flags.. it just fits those late 2 am nights of nothingness. :)
