1) Ever been in a relationship lasting over 5 years?
Romantic relationship? Yes, a couple, I've been married 10.5 years and was married for 5 years the first time around too. Other relationships, I am lucky to have a bunch of LTRs, a lot of good people in my life.
2) What was your dream growing up?
To be loved, to work in a library but not really work, just be paid to read.
I think I also wanted to be a famous marine biologist for a while (because they are so trendy and famous y'know?)
3) What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I spoke 6 languages. I wish I could play the concertina or banjo, something unexpected. I wish I could fly a plane.
4) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
I am a porter drinker these days, dark Mocha stouts and oatmeal porters, more meal than beverage. I also like red wine, I'm getting pickier about wine as I get older, that does not make me happy at all. Not long ago Selu brought me a case of Two Buck Chuck assorted reds from trader Joe's, I already have anxiety about running out, we drink about a bottle a week.
5) Favorite book?
I don't know! I really love so many books. Books I have read more than once - "The Stand" "Wide Sargasso Sea" "Story of the Eye" "Love in the time of Cholera" "Toscaninis Fumble" "Emma" "On the Road, Dharma Bums, Big Sur" "The History of Luminous Motion" OK, too many books to list.
6) What was the last book you read?
I'm reading "Annie John" for book club and "Pillars of the Earth" Also, another Dexter novel ("Darkly dreaming"?)

Sugar binges, isolating

video games, reading politics and celebrity blogs, knitting

getting knocked up 3 days after my boyfriend moved in with me.
16) Tell me one weird fact about you.
I go to a water aerobics class on Friday so that I can sit in the sauna afterwards and then take a long luxurious super hot shower and use my salt scrub. It kills the drain in our bathtub. So, I exercise for an excuse to exfoliate and waste hot water.
17) What if i showed up at your house unexpectedly?
All are welcome. But honestly, real surprises of this nature freak me out a little. Just give me an hour or two's notice.
18) What was your first impression of me?
Drama llama. But I like your writing and eventually I liked your honesty and the way you actually did the shit you talked about. Somewhere into year two or so I grew to really look forward to your entries.
19) What scares you?
The usual, family dying stuff, also that I have overlooked some kind of essential law or tax thing and that the feds are going to show up and arrest me for it, this is the fun of running a business when you have no idea what you are doing.
20) If you could change one thing about how you are, what would it be?
I find that without constant busy-work, I get depressed. Retirement scares me.
21) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
Conscience

greenish brownish blue, you know that color

We have a ridiculous amount of interests in common, long ago I stopped remarking upon, so that I wouldn't appear stalkerish

I really like to hang out at home these days, I like to sit around the fire pit and drink beer and laugh.

Yeah. I really wish it hadn't become such a cultural phenom, with all the ghost hunting programs and shit. It makes me feel lame and unoriginal
29) Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Spare time depresses me. I cook or clean or read or do the neverending laundry or proposition my husband.

This really should be my bad habit. But i love to swear and have no interest in quitting

When my children act exactly like me and I realize I can't stand me.

hibernating

I have a pretty romantical type life. I am married to a guy with high appreciation of aesthetics, subtext, beauty, romance etc and he often surprises me with lovely things, words, thoughts and gestures. I try to keep up with him, but am less gifted. Oh that's sweet, do you want head now? doesn't quite measure up
