That's what my MIL calls the white fudge coated chex mix stuff she makes. I call it crack.
Ok, so I'm still here. We have had a load of sickness in the house (and pin worms ewwww) But, this morning, my boy does not have a fever, I think the latest homeopathic remedy worked. I have the naturopath on speed dial. My girl is at a sleep over, my MIL is not driving me too bonkers and I am going to take a moment to enjoy the Holiday. Big presents for the kids this year include a pottery wheel for Ms. Maggie and the blue man Group keyboard for Dylan. We also got a Wii right after Thanksgiving so they are rolling in it this year and I have to keep telling myself that I don't need to buy more (not much under the tree) maybe I need to wrap empty boxes...
I have been knitty since October, 5 kid's hats, 4 scarves, fingerless gloves, a backpack made out of knitted fabric pieces, and I still need to finish Dylan's hat and scarf set. Maggie is enjoying embroidery quite a bit right now. She's also working, like a job. She is going to TKD holiday camp for free in exchange for leading workouts and helping with the younger kids, She is so excited about it. What a great little capitalist I'm raising. Actually she is suddenly moody, I fear the pre-teen hormones are starting to circulate, almost 10 sound about right? It is sort of cool to have that kid that every adult wants in the mix though. Just a moment of kid braggery.
Today, I need to re-clean the house, catch up on laundry, find presents for my husband and MIL, esp stocking stuff. Make a comfort food dinner, beef stroganoff maybe? mend the holes the cat has torn in wrapping paper and take a lot of emergen-c.
Lord, a child just called my cell phone, and this is what she said, "Is Maggie there?" me, "No, who is this." her, "Well, my mom has a lot of last minute shopping and wants to know if I can come over and play." Ok... and you are.
I have to go make breakfast now, hours late. I love everyone.
