(no subject)

I go home to see my mom from now.

I'd like to keep off the subject of religion 'cause there are various faith in the world. Actually, I don't have any religious faith, but take a little the subject.
Don't ask me why, but it's believed that spirits of the dead come back home on mid-summer in Japan(Oh, it's NOT a HORROR FILM!). The period is called "Obon" and is just now.

Last Autumn, my father gone at fifty-eight...I missed him but the fact hasn't hit me yet. I feel he is alive even now. Probably I had lived away from him since I graduated from high school 'cause I gone to university to leave my home, so it had became commonplace for me to lack of him for a long time.
Anyway, this summer is the first time for my family to welcome spirit of my father. We decorate an altar with flowers, hang out Japanese lanterns and have a monk down to recite a sutra to hold a memorial service for him. I don't know if he really come back home or not, but I guess it is good for us to honor his memory.

Hmm...I think it's impossible to explain...hope it sounds like a bizarre custom.(;u_u)
