Christmas Robbery
SO I had a pretty good time with family and the like during Christmas. Lot of food, family, presents, etc.
At about 6 something I leave and then stop by John and Kate's and we hang out, have a drank. Then as I'm sitting down, about to finally enjoy relaxing, I get a text- "We think the house may have been broken into" from the mutt.
I think to myself
1) Jesus H Christ Patrick can't even call me himself to tell me this kind of important sounding thing? I mean seriously dude
2) What do you mean MAY HAVE, I think you can usually tell these things straight away.
3) If there was indeed a break-in My (work) laptop, the PS3, and maybe the TV are going to be GONE.
4) I hope this is not some elaborate plot bu them in another insane scheme
I call Patrick and ask him what the hell is going on. He says the door was busted open and that the police are there and they are waiting for the K9 unit. I say I'll be up in like 15 minutes. I get there and see the frame of the door all busted and 2 cruisers. The K-9 Unit roll in shortly after.
I stand out in the cold, waiting for them to clear the house.
Eventually we get to go inside and see that its better than expected. The door's fucked, a few drawers are open, the dogs are still there.
Missing were
My dad came by later and helped board up the door. The brothers are going to look about repair this Wednesday. Allegedly. The other people in the house get really more paranoid than I would (I mean they already robbed us, we're fine here now). They talk about motion sensor lights (not a bad idea), a bigger fence, not leaving the house ever again, etc.
Overall a shitty end to a decent holiday.

- old DeMatha ring (mine)
- Credit card (Patrick's)
