A few weeks ago, went back to (any) hospital for the first time in at lest like 15 years. That was when i got stitches on my chin.
It was because Bret had some appendix issues (read: had it removed). This all was rather sudden, and the random email I got from Elena around 10 in the morning (delayed because they had no service in the emergency's room at the hospital) was very abrupt. It was a bit uncomfortable, cause the email was vague and I was not really sure what to think except that it said he was alright (recovering).
Visited Elena and Bret in the Hospital later that day. You wouldn't believe the crappy selection of magazines Borders Express has. Had to stop at a
7-11 to get some decent reading material (
pew pew pew related, but I did think about slipping a copy of
King Magazine in the stack). Well it was hard to see a friend in such a bad state- he was recovering, but looked awful. Made me fear the
doctors/hospitals even more. And of course there is the "I wonder how much all this actually costs" factor too. UGH. Unfortunately, not everyone has health's insurance :/
But overall he's recovering, so that is good. But kind of a scary thing- what if it had burst? Or otherwise not been in time :/
A serious post yes, but I don't know why/how I put it off for so long. Maybe just did not want to think about things...
